THE PRESIDENTIAL ANTI-GRAFT COMMISSION (PAGC)

• Created by Executive Order No. 12, series of 2001 as amended

• President’s arm in this fight directly addressing allegations of violations of provisions of graft and corruption – related laws and other issuances by her own Presidential Appointees in the bureaucracy

MANDATE AND FUNCTIONS Investigates, hears, and decides administrative cases or

complaints against:All Presidential Appointees in the Executive Branch, Salary

Grade 26 and higher including members of the PNP and AFPwhen directed by the President

Public officers and employees, and private persons, inconspiracy with covered Presidential Appointees

File Appropriate criminal complaints before the Office of the Ombudsman or the Department of Justice

Formulate and implement national anti-corruption plans and strategies pursuant to the MTPDP of the Arroyo administration and secure the compliance of all agencies in the Executive Branch

adopted as the national anti-corruption framework of the Executive Branch and the President’s program of countering corruption through integrity development and good governance

composed of 22 specific anti-corruption measures clustered into the strategies of Prevention, Education, Deterrence (Investigation and Enforcement), and Strategic Partnership

4. Incorporating integrity check in recruitment and promotion of government personnel.

5. Institutionalization of a multi-stakeholder personnel and organizational performance evaluation system

6. Protection of meager income of government employees by ensuring a level for take home pay.
