Initial Plans For Music Magazine

Price & Frequency of publication

After researching the prices of EDM magazines I have come to notice that the price depends on the publication frequency and the amount of detail given in the magazine. A weekly magazine would cost around £2-£3 which is less than a monthly magazine which costs around £5 this is because there will be more information and in some case's a high standard of quality in the monthly magazine than a weekly one. The price that my magazine will be is at £4 per issue, this is because my magazine will be a monthly magazine including a lot of detailed information of high quality but to break into the market I will need to have my prices to be slightly lower than my competitors. This is because my magazine will not have such a large known brand such as 'MixMag', therefore I will need to make my magazine different to entice there readers to switch magazines.

Averages Issue SizeThe issue size of my magazine will be around 50 pages, this is because I

believe there is enough pages to inform the reader of all of the important information from that month without having to include extra pages just to make the magazine size larger.

Regular ContentRegular content will include articles such as Top 20, Q&A's, New

Albums, New tracks, New music artists, Prices to be won, Free gifts, Artist of the month, Tour dates, Quiz.

Featured Articles

Features articles will be based upon biggest events of the month such as Festivals. There will also be information on a featured artist such as their new content, their road to becoming a DJ, includes featured tracks download. There will also be featured interviews with artists both biggest DJ's and upcoming DJ's.
