who incorporated words and typography into his paintings

‘The Dirty Dozen’ is an American war film released in 1967, featuring a similar concept to Inglourious; a team of men chosen to participate in a war mission together

Both films are set in the Second World War, and Tarantino has acknowledged Inglourious Basterds to be [his] “my Dirty Dozen”

The Sound of MusicThe opening setting of the film, set on

a mountainous French dairy farm, is reminiscent of scenes from “The Sound of Music” in terms of location and mise en scene.

This set of stills shows a scene shot from an overhead view, this creates the impression that the whole premise of the film is a set up and isn’t real, this effect was similarly used in ‘Kill Bill’, as if the audience was looking into a giant toy house.
