WHAT ARE YOUR CONCERNS ABOUT THIS PROJECT?
For my child/student, and the whole Inglewood students, having the best education for the future success.
That this beginning (great, I will say) will not result in a continuation. That is my concern.
I appreciate that everyone had a chance for input. The city and district must have future planning goals that will impact the district - I would have liked to hear current and future plans.
Seeking input from community members, teachers, and administration is fantastic, but to earnestly consider options provided and implement them is another challenge. If a plan is already in place and input is not considered, it is wasted resources, money, & energy.
The process excluded addressing IUSD maintaining our remaining schools to service the community. Maintaining consistency with teachers/administration/superintendents.
If the information is not received, considered, or implemented, this was all for nought.
I am concerned about the focus on facilities and the lack of discussion of academics and instruction.
Not enough community members in attendance - maybe radio ads.
My concern with this process was that they would not take our presence seriously.
MEETING EVALUATIONS
IN TWO SENTENCES, WHAT DO YOU THINK WE ACCOMPLISHED TODAY?
Very interesting! Great job.
I think you have accomplished openness by getting a great turnout. You now have lists who I hope are ready and willing to join the conversation. I am ready.
Collaboration of our ideas to move forward.
Schools were able to display their programs and a chance for district personnel to share the current thinking as a whole.
We addressed our student concerns/goals for achievement (academic)
We shared our great ideas from many places, teachers, parents, community member (me), and administrator. If IUSD uses these ideas by implementation - future great schools will be accomplished!
The entire event was well-organized, engaging, and collaborative.
Great discussion and a great demonstration of commitment to IUSD. Wonderful, informative visioning exercise.
Learned what the vision of IUSD has for schools - there is a plan! Learned what community wants for schools.
We would love to join the teachers and the community to express our concerns.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:
Thank you for invitation to have this kind of meeting for best vision and goals of the Inglewood district.
Please continue to engage the community and
conversation is a great step in collaboration.
Curious about the direction of the district, considering the great amount of money that is forthcoming. Wondering about so many charter schools in this city, taking our higher achieving students, and the backlash possed on the public school.
(I am concerned about) stopping charters from absorbing our students. (Ex) Morningside campus!
I think this summit was a wonderful idea!
Well done! Lot of good energy and enthusiasm!
They should love and encourage them to study. Everything you do with passion, dedication and dedication at work, make them happy. And make
a college. Finish college and they love everything they do.
MEETING EVALUATIONS
WHAT ARE YOU MOST EXCITED ABOUT?
The site and all coordinations.
I am most excited about collaboration and the hope that IUSD students will have a chance to succeed.
The seeming transparency of the district and hope that they have the true interest of all invested in
Programs developed at a Parent Schools such as focus on STEAM and Math Squad.
The idea of the summit including everyone is exciting. We are all vested in the success of IUSD.
I’m excited about the commitment the district is directing toward a community approach to strategic planning.
Dr. Melendez!
