for Improvements in Monroe County

MONROE COUNTY (3-10) - The Arkansas State Highway Commission has approved a bid for

improvements to a roadway in Monroe County, according to Arkansas State Highway and

Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

The purpose of this project is to resurface 6.5 miles of Interstate 40 from Bayou Deview

eastward to Brinkley.

Redstone Contstruction Group, Inc. of Little Rock was awarded the contract at $7,291,611.97.

Construction is scheduled to begin in two to four weeks, weather permitting. Completion is

expected in mid-2017.

improvements to a roadway in Lee County, according to Arkansas State Highway and

Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

The purpose of this project is to resurface 3.5 miles of selected sections of State Highways 1, 1B,

and 79 in Lee County.

APAC-Mississippi, Inc. of Jackson, MS was awarded the contract at $1,499,063.00.

Construction is scheduled to begin in two to four weeks, weather permitting. Completion is

The purpose of this project is to resurface 6.9 miles of State Highway 46 extending eastward

from Providence to Interstate 530 in Grant and Jefferson Counties.

Arkansas Highway Commission Approves Bid

for Improvements in Faulkner & Van Buren Counties

FAULKNER & VAN BUREN COUNTIES (3-10) - The Arkansas State Highway Commission

has approved a bid for improvements to roadways in Faulkner & Van Buren Counties, according

to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

The purpose of this project is to resurface 2.2 miles of various city streets in Damascus, to

include: Oak Tree Rd., North Rd., Firestation St., Carrell Cir., Lewis Dr., and Payne St.; 1.9

miles of various city streets in Greenbriar, to include: Wilson Farm Rd., Mitchell Cir., Mallori

Ln. and Briarwood St.; and 2.2 miles of various city streets in Guy, to include: Post Office Dr.,

W Church St., Oak Ln., Pine St., Noland Little Rd., Belle Dr., and S. Bolden Hill Rd.

Rogers Group, Inc. of Nashville, TN was awarded the contract at $514,402.82.

Construction is scheduled to begin in two to four weeks, weather permitting. Completion is

expected in mid-2017.

Arkansas Highway Commission Approves Bid

for Improvements in Independence County

INDEPENDENCE COUNTY (3-10) - The Arkansas State Highway Commission has approved

a bid for improvements to roadways in Independence County, according to Arkansas State

Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

The purpose of this project is to resurface 2.8 miles of County Roads 28, 320 and 42 in

Independence County.

Atlas Asphalt, Inc. of Batesville was awarded the contract at $257,920.92.

Construction is scheduled to begin in two to four weeks, weather permitting. Completion is

expected in mid-2017.
