INFORMATION PACK Where it all started Oasis was set up by Biny Gregory in 1996 when she bought her first Bedouin tent from a souk in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In the following year, Biny, her husband and daughters ran a tented café at Campus Festival in Devon and adapted the tents for their first interior lining installation at Farmington Quarry in Gloucestershire. Biny’s daughter Dany, joined Oasis to capitalise on her experience as Event Producer at international events company Jack Morton Worldwide and achieve her ambition of running her own business. Her husband Mark had worked at IBM as a contract and project manager leading an RSA funded project called WEEE man, an educational art project, now at the Eden Project. Together they left London in 2004 to develop the family business, setting up a branch of Oasis for London and the South East. The two branches were then merged in 2008. With new premises based in central England, Oasis Events Ltd was created, supplying a widening range of beautiful specialist event hire across the UK. With Mark’s creative skills and their talent for seamless project management Mark and Dany are now the executive directors of Oasis Events. The company Oasis is based in Moreton in Marsh, on the border of Warwickshire, Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire and has a full time team of 10 staff handling nationwide events throughout the year and part-time workers take the company to an average of 25 staff during peak season. Several new Oasis “looks” and styles of dressing have been developed since 2009, with increasing numbers of returning clients for annual festivals, corporate events, school balls and numerous bespoke parties and celebrations. In another record-breaking year, 2013 brought growth of 36% year-on-year. The team won the Hire Association Europe (HAE's) Award for Excellence in Customer Care 2009 has enjoyed awards success with wins and placements as finalist on a national level over consecutive years. What is different about Oasis? Oasis Events has a flexible, creative and collaborative approach to transforming any venue - from gardens to marquees to warehouses, nightclubs or village halls, with their unique boutique tents, marquee- and venue-linings, furniture and accessories and bespoke drapery. The company’s values reflect its heritage: a family-run specialist hire business with an eye for detail, offering a truly personal service for every unique occasion.

What does Oasis do? Turn ordinary places into extraordinary spaces. Inside. Outside. All year round. What type of events does Oasis supply? Oasis supplies weddings, festivals, corporate events, school and college balls, proms and parties. Recent installations include transformations inside Claridges, The Berkeley and the Dorchester, at public events such as the Suffolk Show, Henley Royal Regatta and Goodwood and at sites ranging from garden marquees to ExCel, Blenheim Palace, and film and TV sets for the Forsythe Saga for ITV and The Young Apprentice. Regular festivals clients include the four Cheltenham Festivals, WOMAD, Feastival and Cornbury, and Latitude to name a few. Amongst their more unusual projects the team have transformed tractor barns into cosy Kasbahs or a vintage wedding setting, the arches underneath London Bridge Station, a marquee on a roof top with a view of the “Gherkin”, marquees on windy Cornwall cliff tops, a Welsh beach, and a New Year’s Eve marquee in Moscow.
