The mission of the Department of Health & Human Services is to improve the quality of life for all Camden County residents by providing and assuring access to quality health services and programs which are cost effective and responsive to local needs.

The Division of Community Health Services provides adult immunizations, flu shots, public health preparedness, substance abuse prevention and treatment, and many other valuable programs.

Our Division of Environmental and Consumer Health assures environmental protection and provides programs to address air emissions, solid/hazardous waste management, water quality, site assessment, indoor air quality and emergency response.

The Consumer Health component seeks to minimize the risk of communicable and infectious diseases through inspections, investigations, education and enforcement actions in regulated and non-regulated facilities. Facilities include but are not limited to food service operations, schools, child care facilities, body art businesses, residential housing, and animal shelter facilities.

We also offer programs to protect citizens against consumer fraud with our Consumer Protection and Weights & Measures Unit.

The Division of Senior & Disabled Services provides a system of programs and services to ensure a better quality of life for the older residents.
