The Consumer Health component seeks to minimize the risk of communicable and infectious diseases through inspections, investigations, education and enforcement actions in regulated and non-regulated facilities. Facilities include but are not limited to food service operations, schools, child care facilities, body art businesses, residential housing, and animal shelter facilities. We also offer programs to protect citizens against consumer fraud with our Consumer Protection and Weights & Measures Unit. The Division of Senior & Disabled Services provides a system of programs and services to ensure a better quality of life for the older residents.
