Quiet and energy-efficient: TSR Recycling relies on electrical scrap handling

EditorialEditorial

Dear customers, partners, employees and friends, the trend is clear and leads to larger ma-chines. This is the challenge we have had to face successful in the recent past. With the new 6113 telescopic crawler crane with its 120 tons lifting capacity we currently bring the largest SENNEBOGEN telescopic

crane on the market. Thereby we are able to expand our product range a further step upwards. At the same time the largest SENNEBOGEN duty cycle crane is in the starting blocks - with 300 tons capacity an immense expansion in terms of payload and performance. Details will follow soon. „By the way“ we inaugurated this year

our Academy and the Erich Sennebo-gen Museum and commissioned the new training center to operation. Many details can be experienced in the new BOOM Supplement.

An interesting read wishes you

Throughout Europe, TSR Recycling GmbH & Co. KG (TSR) is one of the leading recyclers of steel scrap and non-ferrous metals. For material handling the enterprise has long placed their trust in the SENNEBOGEN machines. Recently a new SENNEBOGEN 835 Crawler Electro was placed in service in Halle.

An electrically powered SENNEBOGEN 835 Crawler Special of the current E-series was recently delivered to the TSR subsidiary in Halle by SENNEBOGEN Sales and Service Partner, Tecklenborg Baumaschinen GmbH.

The new SENNEBOGEN 835 R Special is driven by a powerful 160 kW electric motor. At TSR in Halle, thanks to its 35 m cable, the machine is also implemented as a mobile unit for loading trucks and sorting scrap.

Pleased with their new SENNEBOGEN 835: Employees at TSR Recycling in Halle look on as regional sales direc-tor Roland Haupt (SENNEBOGEN) and sales partner Stefan Rißel (Tecklenborg Baumaschinen) officially transfer the keys to subsidiary manager Thomas Stiller (TSR) (center from left).

tion waste so that the remaining powdered gypsum can be used later to produce cement and other products. Equipped with a 75 kW electric motor and 11 m equipment, the ma-chine was set up specifically for use within the hall. The high-power LED headlight system and Multicab cabin which can be ele-vated by 2.7 m gives the driver an excellent overview of the work area. Service and sales partner: E.H. Hassell & Sons Ltd

The machines is impressive in size, however its machine concept and propulsion concept are even more impressive. The material handling machine is powered by a 160 kW electric motor and its equipment is over 20 m in length. In order to be flexible, in spite of the electric drive, the SENNEBOGEN 835 has a 35 m trailing cable in length that permits a convenient work range. Particu-

larly in periods of reduced production, the electric machine shall replace the existing diesel machines and thus save energy costs. With 150 locations in Europe, Russia, and China, TSR Recycling is working worldwide and relies on sustainable solutions - also

with regard to the material handling machi-nes. Use of electric material handling ma-chines saves up to 50 % in operating costs, as compared to conventionally operated machines; this was an important decision criterion.

For students in their 7th semester the specific assignment was to solve a develop-ment task from the automotive supplier, Continental. Seven student teams from the Regensburg University of Applied Scien-ces participated in the event, „Application Design“. With the theme of the design work - „configuration and design of an electric water pump for motor vehicles“, the students were given a practical and topical task that an engineer would certainly have to accom-

in the second nave of the hall, in the new finishing area. Previously in some cases these machines, with operating weights up to 100 t, had to be setup and dismantled outdoors. A large storage area and office and break facilities round out the extension. The objective of the investment is to offload the previous assembly stations and processing stations, and to provide room for further expansion and more efficient work. The new building`s energy supply is ensured for the future through a modern wood-chip heating system and a large-area photovoltaic sys-tem. Thus over the long-term, the existing buildings on the Wackersdorf site can also be heated in carbon-neutral manner.

plish in professional life. Ultimately the jury selected Sebastian Sennebogen and his team as the well-merited winners, thanks to the extremely innovative design of the developed water pump. Congratulations!
