Civeo WelcomeA well–rested worker is a more productive worker

It’s no secret that a well-rested worker is a more productive worker. Civeo is proud to host Syncrude’s 2018 Denali Turnaround at our Athabasca and Beaver River Executive Lodge locations.

Beaver River Executive Lodge and Athabasca Lodge are located at the Fort MacKay turnoff, close to several Athabasca oil sands project sites. The great location makes these lodges an excellent choice as our guests can spend less time commuting and more time recharging for the next shift.

These lodges have amenities like a licensed lounge and an on site convenience store. Housekeeping, three delicious meals a day, and exceptional fitness and recreation facilities add up to a comfortable stay. The rooms are equipped with desks, Internet (no Wi-Fi), cable TV, and a semi-private or private washroom.

Visit the lodge web pages to find out more about Athabasca Lodge and Beaver River Executive Lodge or call your company’s Travel Coordinator for reservations.

SAFETY & SECURITY

Safety is FirstResident safety is always FIRST. Even though you are in camp and may not be working, you are to be mindful of safety at all times. Please address immediately any safety concerns to the Front Desk, Lodge Management or Security.

If an unsafe behaviour is observed, residents may expect to be intervened upon for a “safety moment conversation”, reminding them of safety expectations. Please be courteous and respectful.

Wildlife SafetyDue to the remote location of our operations, there is a potential to encounter dangerous wildlife such as bears, cougars and other animals. Precautions have been taken to limit the risk of these encounters.

The wildlife were here first, you are in THEIR territory. Please show respect for any wild animal you encounter for your safety and for theirs. In the event of a wildlife sighting, please inform the Front Desk.

Additionally, here is what you can do to keep yourself and others safe:• Secure garbage bins• Do not prop open doors• Do not feed, tease or provoke wildlife at any time• Avoid traps set for wildlife

Lodge EmergencyAn emergency evacuation plan is posted on the back of the door in each room and at the entrance and exit to each building. Please familiarize yourself with your closest exit.

In case of an emergency evacuation: exit the lodge and go to the muster point identified on the plan, closest to you, and wait for further instruction. Guests are asked to remain at the muster point until the all-clear is given by Emergency Services or Security.

Your SYNCRUDE ID CARD must be worn and visible at all times while on site.

You must present your SYNCRUDE ID CARD at all times when requested.

Your personal SYNCRUDE ID CARD is not to be used by anyone else but yourself. This includes site access and obtaining materials and equipment on site.

DO NOT use your card to scan anyone else on or off site. DO NOT allow anyone else to use your card in order to gain entry to or exit from site.

ANY and ALL activity associated with your SYNCRUDE ID CARD is YOUR responsibility. If your card is lost, it is YOUR responsibility to report it to Security immediately.

Syncrude has a ZERO TOLERANCE for violence in the workplace including but not limited to verbal abuse, interpersonal violence and harassment.

You are not to be in possession or under the influence of alcohol while accessing or working on any Syncrude premises.

You are not to be under the influence of any illegal drugs or narcotics or in possession of drugs or drug paraphernalia while accessing or working on the Syncrude and Aurora sites, including camps.

Possession of firearms, ammunition or other prohibited weapons on Syncrude premises is forbidden.

Video monitoring is in operation at each point of site entry and egress; Syncrude collects and may reasonably use and/or disclose this information in order to implement and manage security and internal controls.

A condition of site access is that you must submit to a search of your personal belongings including outer garments or vehicle at the request of a security officer while on the Syncrude site.

Failure to comply with any of these SECURITY EXPECTATIONS may result in your Syncrude site access privileges being removed. A site suspension may be initiated pending the outcome of the security investigation.

LODGE INFORMATION

General Overview of “Life in a Lodge”Living in camp is a “Community Lifestyle”, where you are sharing common dining areas, recreation areas and in some cases, common washroom and shower facilities. Please be aware and courteous of your fellow camp residents, at all times.

When using common facilities, the expectation is that you leave it clean and tidy and ready for use for the next camp resident. Please tidy up after yourself.

Please be mindful that this is a 24-hour operation. There are other camp residents getting rest or sleeping.

Some residents may not be accustomed to the “Community Lifestyle” of a lodge. Above all, please be respectful and courteous to your fellow lodge residents. Additional concerns may be addressed to the Front Desk, Security or Lodge Management. You are also invited to bring your concerns forward to your Job Steward, who will present them on your behalf at weekly lodge committee meetings.

“Expectation of Privacy” For the safety of all lodge residents, all lodge facilities, including lodge rooms, individuals have no reasonable expectation of privacy on company property and may be subject to search. Lodge or Security representatives may enter all areas, at any time, without notice. Searches may be preannounced or unannounced and may be carried out on a random basis. Searches are typically carried out to detect misappropriated company property and/or the presence of alcohol, drugs, drug paraphernalia, weapons, explosives, pests or other items that may pose a safety risk.

Each camp has rules and regulations specific to their property. Please read through the lodge rules and lodge accommodation procedures so you are aware of behaviours and actions which are not acceptable. These rules are available at the Front Desk and also from your company representative.

How to register and who is eligible:All long term, reoccurring clients are eligible to use the Mobile Check-In option. To register, you must complete an agreement form giving us the permission to send email notifications concerning your reservations.

1. How do I know I have been successfully enrolled in this service? Within 24 to 48 hours you will receive a welcoming email confirming your enrollment to Mobile Check-In. This email will confirm your personal information as spelled in our system. Please note our system is case sensitive. Let us know if you notice any spelling errors.

2. Where do I get my key? Once you register to self check-in, the Front Desk will assign you a permanent key. This is the key that you will use when coming back to the lodge.

3. How do I check-out or time-out now that I have a permanent key card? Checking-out is very important to allow us to prepare the room for the incoming guests. With having a permanent key card, you can either check out at the check-in kiosks by pressing Check Out and swiping your key card or notify the Front Desk of your room number and that you are departing on your way out of the lodge on the morning of your departure. You may also follow these steps if you are timing out as well. Please remember to check-out by 11:00 am on your day of departure.

4. What happens if I lose my key? Please see a Front Desk agent; they will re-issue you a new key. A replacement key card, which is required, is $10.00 and can be purchased in the commissary.

Your room number will be confirmed at the kiosk and in the check-in package emailed to you after you have checked in at the lodge. If you are coming back from timing-out, you will keep the same room as the one you initially checked-in to.

6. Can I use the kiosks without opting into the Mobile Check-In option? No, this option will not be available as you will not have a permanent key assigned in the lodging system.

7. Can I use the kiosks to check out if I didn’t opt into the Mobile Check-In Option? Yes, you can but please ensure that you return your key card to the Front Desk prior to leaving the lodge.

8. What if I don’t have an email address or a smartphone/ computer? Or what if I am not computer savvy? Our Front Desk agents will be pleased to assist you. Self check-in is optional for each guest.
