Conference themesWe are seeking for contributions dealing with the following sessionthemes below for "Progress in Biogas III."1. Domestic biogas plants: Systems, implementationoptions/examples; domestic sewage, garbage/waste, animal excreta, human excreta; improvement of sanitation; technical innovations –yearround plant operation; use of gas: electricity production, heatingand cooling, lighting; appropriate technical equipment/appropriatetechnologies – climatic zones of the earth; economic conditions andprofitability/costs; safety; acceptance; emissions; minimumrequirement for the gas quality2. Agricultural biogas plants (farm scale biogas plants): Process;manure biogas plants; substrates; efficiency and economic viability;safety; emissions3. Biogas generation from industrial, communal and municipal, biowaste: Cofermentation in local cycle; waste from the foodproduction; agricultural industrial waste; hygiene; suitable rawmaterials – necessary waste separation4. Flexibility of biogas production and use: Storage, intermediatestorage; isolated solutions; targeted generation; flexible production;networking with other renewable energy sources; power to gas5. Biogas as vehicle fuel: Use in agricultural tractors and vehicles;preparation techniques; economy; quality requirements for the finalproduct; small processing and energy recovering systems6. Digestate application and management: Sanitation; soilimprovement; humus generation7. Innovative fermentation and digester construction methods:Hydrolysis; 2Phase nature; improved lagoon models8. Innovative heat application concepts: Secondary basedelectricity generation – electricity from heat; cooling; heat gridconnections; micro gas grid; district heating concepts9. Technical, economical and social cooperative structures ofdecentralized small scale biogas systems
MotivationStuttgart, being located in BadenWürttemberg, where thebiogas movement started is the most adequate place to offerexperts, scientists, practitioners and interested people from allover the world an intensive knowledge exchange in the countryof the current "world leader" in biogas. That is why Stuttgart isthe ideal framework to organize the international conference"Progress in Biogas."
The "Progress in Biogas" internationalconference takes place for the third timein September 2014. This time a majorfocal point of the event will be thepresentation of practical and scientificresults from smallscale decentralizedbiogas systems on household, farming, industrial, communal and municipal leveland innovations on biogas technologiesand techniques. This will contribute tooptimize and efficiently improve thetechnology making biogas production anduse more flexible. The conference will take place duringtwodays and be followed by oneday fieldtrip. Moreover, the participants will havethe opportunity to interact with each otherin a relaxed way in the evening receptionat the first day of the conference.Biogas Question TimeThere will be also the opportunity to useour “question time” with specializedbiogas field experts from IBBK to talkabout a specific topic or problem. Pleasecontact Ms. Jenny Aragundy<papers@progressinbiogas.com> to getto know how it works and how you canprofit from it in order to enhance yourknowledge and international exchange.
Target GroupsThe conference aims to reach practitioners, scientists, researchers, politicians, decision makers, biogas plantsowners, biogas plantsplanners, students, companies workingon the biogas field, NGOs, and all people interested on biogasfield, sustainability and bioenergy.
Why to submit? You will present your work to an experienced audience and will havethe opportunity to exchange your knowledge and discuss with themabout the latest progress occurred in the biogas field.
