// Transport //FROM GATWICK TO HACKNEY CENTRAL:We always book train tickets to St. Pancras International(Booking a return ticket will save you a few pounds as well). From there take bus 30 towards Hackney Wick - get off at Hackney Downs Station(5 minute walk from Hackney Central station - and 5 minutes to our house).
FROM STANSTED TO HACKNEY CENTRAL:At arrivals you will easily spot the National Express ticket office. Book a bus ticket to Bethnal Green and transfer to bus 254 or 106 towards Hackney Central.
HOW TO GET AROUND:You will need an Oyster Card, as cash is no longer accepted on buses or tube. Oyster Cards are available at most Off Licenses and stations. It looks like this(NB! Remember you only have to tap “in” and not “out” on buses!). Check TFL.gov.uk for more information

// Helpful App’s //• Citymapper - brilliant for planning your travels around London
• Premier Cars - for booking cars/taxis, can be paid in cash. They are very reliable.
// Attire & Gift registry //Attire:Since this celebration is of a very informal persuasion, we urge you to wear whatever you want. Shorts or t-shirt? Bring it! A costume? Sure, awesome! Red dress? Yeah! Full suit or tux? Only if you don’t mind sweating your butt off! ;0) Really the only no-no is a white dress..
“The Nest Egg”:Living in cramned quarters, and knowing that we are going back to Denmark at some point, we are setting up a little “fund” we like to call “The Nest Egg”; we hope you will appreciate not having to bring gifts in your hand luggage, but instead would consider contributing to our future home in this way. Please contact [email protected] to find out how. Alternatively we suggest you to make a donation to Doctors without boarders : http://www.msf.org.uk/.
