Its library is constantly being enriched with collection of books and periodicals on cinema which is open to all lm lovers. Functions : As an art house for release of quality lms and organising lm festivals, retrospectives, children's lm shows, documentaries etc. to serve the requirements of Film clubs/ Societies for their screenings and other programmes and regular screenings of movies at Nandan I & II auditoriums. Nandan is a State Government funded lm promotion centre and runs under the policy direction and supervision of an Advisory Committee. About Kolkata International Film Festival (KIFF) In its earlier editions, the festival has been graced by the presence of legendary lmmakers like Miguel Littin (Chile), Fernando Solanos (Argentina), E. Subriela (Argentina), Ali Ozgentruk (Turkey), Amos Gitai (Israel), Krzysztof Zanussi (Poland), Catherine Breillat (France), Jeon Soo-ill (Korea), Gus Van Sant (USA), Jafar Panahi (Iran), Tahmina Milani (Iran), Tsai Ming-liang (Malaysia) Nury Bilge Cylan (Turkey), Michael Winterbottom(UK) Philip Noyce(Australia), Simon Baker(Australia), Marion Hansel(Belgium), Majid Majidi(Iran) among others. KIFF's journey began in 1995 when the rst independent international lm festival was inaugurated at Nandan - West Bengal Film Centre. India has one of the most thriving of cinematic traditions. Kolkata in West Bengal is the nerve center for appreciation of performing arts and also hosts an independent international lm festival – The Kolkata International Film Festival (KIFF) accredited by FIAPF. It was essentially the culmination of a sincere Film Society Movement that had its roots in the works of Kolkata's celluloid masters such as Satyajit Ray and Ritwik Ghatak etc.. Call for Fiction- Feature Film Entries

Nandan, West Bengal Film Centre was opened on 2nd September, 1985 under the aegis of the Department of Information & Cultural Affairs, Government of West Bengal for promotion of lm and lm culture. Synopsis : It is a lm which revolves around the life of a successful RJ Arjun Mallik whose life suddenly screeches a break when he gets diagnosed by Laryngeal Cancer. The whole world around him comes crashing down in front of him. The rst hindrance was his profession. His wife, Pritha, played by Paoli Dam is herself a voice artist. Depression takes over Arjun when he can see his wife performing and his own career crashing down in front of him. In the meantime, Romilla- A speech therapist, played by Jaya Ahsan starts training Arjun to speak with Esophageal voice and soon after that Arjun's life takes a positive turn

Synopsis : Indrajit the famous superstar receives the news of the death of his father and rushes to his native place Ballabhpur. Indrajit has come to Ballabhpur after ten long years. It seems to him that his native place, his village of Ballabhpur has gone through a tremendous change because of which he is unable to relate to the people and places as he used to. He gets nostalgic and can almost see how these ten years has brought out a change not only in his surroundings, but also in himself. The story unveils with the journey of Indrajit the eldest son (JYESTHOPUTRO) endeavouring to nd his own self.

Adi Bose used that prosthetic makeup of those criminals and commits the same crime like them for which they have been accused. In between these incidents, somehow Vincida`s & his love interest Jaya`s life also get affected by those incidents and he gradually comes out from the criminal shadow of Adi Bose.

Tuku is sent to a relative's house to learn knitting, but here, she undergoes a transformation courtesy,the interesting friends she makes and Shammo, the impressionist she falls in love with. Will a reformed Tuku be condent enough to stand up for herself? Well, we have to wait till the end of the lm.
