Welcome to KTH! This autumn we welcome to the CSC school…

different Schools during the autumn semester

The Academic Year • The academic year is divided into two semesters, each

divided into two study periods.

• Autumn semester (period 1,2) spring semester (period

3,4)

• The Autumn semester (study period 1) begins

September 2.

• The exam period for period 2 is between

January 11—January 18.

• Re-examination period (period 1) January 7 – January 10

• Break for Christmas from December 20.

Study plan • 30 credits per semester or 15 credits each study period

is considered normal study load

• You can choose maximum 10 courses each semester

• Check in the schedule generator if there are clashes

• Not all courses are listed in the schedule generator

• Hand in the study plan at latest August 10

Computers • You have access to computers 24/7 at KTH

• Your Computer support is ”DELFI” . A lot of useful

information from this page, http://www.kth.se/en/csc/it-

support-csc/

• Wireless network cover the campus (eduroam)

• Two password, one for KTH (personal menu) and one for

the computers at CSC.

• Change password first time you login.

• Registration for courses (register and drop courses up to three weeks into the semester) Note that courses outside CSC usually not uses registration for courses via the personal menu.

• Exams (sign up between 2-4 weeks before the exam)

• Upcoming courses (courses that you are admitted to but not registered)

• Results

• “Your name” • Register your postal address (SL-card, student card)

• your phone number,

• an e-mail forwarding address

• Change password for the KTH computer account
