1 Foreword

Informatica PIM 7.1 Hotfix 2 fixes several limitations of the product as well as provides new extension abilities for projects.

Please contact the Informatica Support if you plan to install that Hotfix.

2 PIM Web

Display different entities in structure context in the main table

It is possible to switch between the entities displayed in the main table. Products, variants, items or structure groups can be selected via drop down menu.

In the previous version only products of a structure group node could be displayed in the main table. This way all items or variants of a specific structure group node can be shown in the main table and for instance be selected to create a task or classify them. In this context the former "Show structure groups" functionality of the "View" menu was moved and harmonized to the drop down menu as part of the structure context.

Informatica PIM – Release Notes – Version 7.1.02 4

Variants and items can be classified

The classification of single variants and items is possible now (not products only). As well as known for products, the user can decide whether he wants to classify the variants/items via drag and drop or use the classification action menu.

Allow classification in supplier catalogs

The user can classify items in/of supplier catalogs in PIM Web now. Classification can be done via drag and drop or using the classification action menu.

Filtering of rich text fields

Filtering of rich text fields above the main table was implemented in PIM Web.

3 PIM Desktop

Define error levels for export functions

A new functionality has been added to define the error level of export functions. Now it is possible to define which event of an export function should be displayed as an error or warning in the export log and which event should be ignored. This improves the clarity of the export logs while providing more relevant information.

Informatica PIM – Release Notes – Version 7.1.02 6

New export function EnumerationKey

There's a new useful export function that returns the key of an enumeration value instead of the label. This is helpful if enumeration keys are needed in the output file (e.g. "DE" instead of "Germany") or an language independent value is needed.

4 Out-of-the-Box PIM rules for DQ

Documentation added

The Data Quality rule package for PIM includes now a comprehensive documentation of its content and details on how to create own custom rules.

Check attribute values according to the defined pre set values

Check that the value of an attribute is conform to the preset values defined for the assigned feature (e.g. The value for the attribute "Size" may only be "S", "M", "L" or "XL" according to the preset values given by the assigned feature)

Output pattern: [Structure system], [Structure group], Feature '[Feature name]: The value '[Attribute value]' ([Language], [Identifier of the value]) of attribute '[Attribute name]' doesn’t conform to the preset values. [line break; optional]

Sample output: Sample Data Consumer Electronics, HDTV Series, Feature 'USB 2.0': The value 'enabled' (English, DEFAULT) of attribute 'USB 2.0' doesn’t conform to the preset values.

Informatica PIM – Release Notes – Version 7.1.02 8

5 Supplier Portal

Flexible data model (since 7.1.01)

The data model for both supplier organizations and supplier users is now extensible. Additional fields can be used to store additional supplier specific information like contact data or addresses. These data can be populated through the registration workflow by the supplier as self-service as well as by portal administrators. User specific information are exposed in the UI by hovering the user name in many places of the application, e.g. in timeline messages.

Performance improvements for import mappings (since 7.1.01)

PIM Supplier Portal is now able to handle thousands of Import Mappings. Besides performance improvements the list can now also be filtered in the UI for portal administrators.

Remote API (since 7.1.01)

For integration into 3rd

party systems, PIM Supplier Portal offers a http-based Remote API. Using this API most of the functionality like supplier user management and catalog uploads can be accessed and integrated into other systems. More information can be found in the SDK documentation package.

Deep links support

It is now possible to reach certain areas of PIM Supplier Portal directly via a deep link mechanism in the URL of the application.

Data Upload by Portal Administrators

Portal Administrators can now upload product data themselves and on behalf of the supplier organizations. Starting an upload of data for a specific catalog as a Portal Administrator is possible through the catalog details view.

Online classification of items by Suppliers

Based on the user right configurations users of the Supplier organization are now allowed to classify uploaded items directly online via the embedded item editor (PIM Web) by using drag and drop functionality.
