Passing mark 2016: 72.5 points (27 proposals financed)
DG HOME - AMIF
22
1. Relevance
Relevance: applications will be assessed on the extent to which
they match the priority and expected outcomes (if applicable) as identified in this Call for Proposals (section 2 above) and in the relevant EU strategic documents and/or action plans (section 1 above), and on whether the expected impact will be significant on the selected priority(ies) (30 points).
=
Read carefully section 1 and 2
Read carefully your priority text and list of eligible activities (section 6.2)
Read carefully "Further considerations" (page 7-9)
Make reference to the AMIF regulations/objectives
Remember that experts do not interpret your text! They will look for clear references/details
DG HOME - AMIF
23
2. Quality
applications will be assessed with regards to the
appropriateness of their design and planned implementation, taking into account the envisaged activities, methodology, organisation of work and strategy for project management, evaluation and dissemination (20 points);
=
Fill strategically the Part A and B: do not scatter the information! Evaluators will tend to give all points if they can find the information they are looking for!
Make the information consistent=36 months of project should correspond to 36 months of implementation; dissemination should be appropriate (do migrants use Instagram?)
Make it short, make it clear!
We do not know how you work, your past experience, your strengths: please don't forget to mention it!
Remember that experts do not interpret your text! They will look for clear references/details
DG HOME - AMIF
24
3. Cost effectiveness
Cost-effectiveness: applications will be assessed with regards to whether the costs of the proposed action are adequate to the activities and proportionate to the expected results (20 points);
In principle we would prefer not to finance just your staff costs (recommended not above >50% of total costs – not strict)
We/experts do know market prices, don't exaggerate with overestimations/underestimation;
The budget should reflect your work packages (ex. dissemination activities should be reflected in your budget) and the expected results (ex. International Conference costs)
The proposal should include the costs (travel, accommodation, DSA) associated to the participation of 1 person from the project coordinator (lead applicant of the proposal) to a kick-off meeting in Brussels, in DG HOME premises.
Don't use vague descriptions ("staff", "dissemination cost")
DG HOME - AMIF
25
4. European Added Value
European added value: the project activities, outcomes and impact should have a broad EU relevance; applications will be assessed on whether a suitable number of countries is involved in the project activities and on whether the expected impact will concern a significant number of countries (20 points);
=
You may be just 3 member states involved but have an impact in all EU 27 (ex: publications translated in all languages)
Make the information consistent=list your expected added value for each phase of your project, list the EU member states you plan to impact!
DG HOME - AMIF
26
5. Expected results
Expected results, dissemination, sustainability and long-term impact. (10 points).
=
Don't give the expected results for granted: list them
Design an appropriate dissemination strategy, thinking of your target audience!
The results of your projects should last AFTER the end of the project: how? When? Where? Detail your strategy!
Do not scatter the information! Make the information consistent!
We do not know how you work, your past experience, your strengths: please don't forget to mention it!
Remember that experts do not interpret your text! They will look for clear references/details
