FOR SALE
For information, contact Barabara Beekman, Block 6 Apart. 204.
ENGLISH SWEETS FOR SALE AT FORUM
We have all kinds of typical English goodies available
at reception.
The cost is € 2 per bag.
Does this indicate that there will be more call for sweets than for alcohol or that most of us are already
in the so-called "second childhood." ?
Perhaps the most successful products to sell at reception would be medicines...

THE BLOCKS - DOORS KEYS
As our residents will remember, in our last issue we asked for opinions on whether or not to change the keys of the block doors so that each of
the nine block had a different key. We have received about 80 responses and a 99% of them tell us that they prefer to continue using a common key. For our part, we continue to believe that for more security it would be better
to have different keys to each of the blocks but In view of the answers to our question, we will continue as we are today.
THANKSThrough Info Forum,
I wish to thank the many people who have
accompanied me and helped me overcome such a difficult time following the
loss of my husband whom I have loved
so much for so long.
Thanks very much to all.

OUR INFO FORUM MAGAZINE
This month we print the 96th copy of INFO FORUM. Every month we try to ensure that
our small publication contains information that may be of most interest to our residents, that which is relevant to those events held here or
that affecting our normal functioning.
There is not always enough occuring here and not enough material to fill our small publication and we
are sometimes forced to publish articles, advice or information of doubtful interest to our readers. Articles are necessarily translated into four languages , translations almost always performed by a magnificent team of Forum volunteer residents, some of whom sometimes ( not without reason ) complain of overwork, so we have decided to try to
publish INFO FORUM bimonthly instead of monthly as we have been doing. However, if at any time news of general interest occurs, we will print an extraordinary edition
immediatly. Information regarding menus, activities, or any other interest will always be published on the bulletin boards of each block.
ABOUT THE SAUNA
We are conducting a study on the use by
our residents of some of the services we
have been providing.
We would like people who use the sauna regularly to let reception know the times they use it, and roughly how many days a week..
MONEY RAISED BY THE POPPY DAY APPEAL AND FROM THE PERFORMANCE OF THE MALE CHOIR FROM ORIHUELA
The Tea Party realized 250 €, and there was also 40.66 € more
in the cafeteria's piggy bank which has been sent to
the Poppy Day Association.
The amounts collected in connection with the performance of the Orihuela Choir totalled 537.33 € which is intended for “a cancer organization”. We thank everyone
who attended these events thus helping these charities.
GOOD AND BAD NEWS
We start by reporting the good news :We have reached an agreement with Mr. Joerg
Benger And Mrs. Simone Lange, that from the first week of february , they will take over the operation of
the Restaurant and Cafeteria .
According to our information they seem to be most appropriate for the job, having shown themselves to
be magnificent professionals in that field.
They have devoted most of there lives to this kind of activity and the last place they ran was in Alfaz del Pi in the Arabi urbanization. Many of our residents have known them for years and have told us of their good work. We hope and expect that our partnership
will last many years giving full satisfaction to our residents.
The new Schedule of the cafeteria and the restaurant will be from 09:00 H to 19:00 H every day.
The new prices of the menus will be € 9.50 on weekdays and
€ 12.50 on Saturdays and Sundays.
The bad news is that we shall have to do without the services of Maribel, Barbara and Antonio, truly endearing people who have unfailingly fulfilled their
duties, always doing anything we have asked of them at any time. We have no doubt that soon
they will find another job and wish them well.
