The mission behind this campaign is to bring a sense of urgency and awareness to New York City residents in regards to the bed bug infestation that has became an epidemic.

Our company promises to provide beautifully crafted infographics for the people of this city so that not only are they aware, bur also

prepared and interested. This campaign will inform and educate, while enlisting a sense of urgency and importance.

The identity of this initiative is not just a logo, just a bedbug, or just an image. It is the realization of actuality- bold, unsightly images along beautifully presented material.

The voice behind these publications will be informal, yet informative. When addressing the public it is imperative to recognize a plethora of backgrounds, levels of awareness etc. For these purposes, our tone of voice within this campaign will be first person and brief; to the point.

It is the ugly truth, expressed eloquently.

Logo Do’s

The logo is always supplied as a text in front of a swarm of bedbugs.

The text is always set to bleed on the page, bottom center, lowercase. The text is always consistent with the background color.

The bedbugs always make up the background swarm. Black and red logos follow the same pattern, with the white based logo including more bedbugs for clarity. Bugs are always either black or white

Dependent upon the medium, the logo shall be partnered with swag in the form of CMYK Red, Black, White and Grey scale content.

Logo Dont’s

The logo should never be presented as a combination other than the ones shown above. The result is difficult to read and unsightly.

Scale and bleed is crucial with in the logo, adhere to the justified format that will be provided as an Adobe Illustrator file

The copy should never be the same color as the bugs.

The type face of this campaign is exclusively IT Caslon 224 STD. It’s luxurious serif represents a bold articulation. Various members of the family are present within documentation, swag, and copy. It is clean, elegant, bold, and beautiful- the perfect accompaniment for such a negative concept such as the bedbug infestation.

There are absolutely no sans-serif typefaces included in this campaign.

Headers are mainly composed in black italic, but compositions can include a variety of combinations, which are presented in the following pages.

Compositions are created in a series of grids ranging from a columns range of 1-5. This is a theme among the printed materials and web page makeup.

Compositions including the logo are created with layers, providing for ease of alteration and transfer.

The components of the logo are presented in black, and then altered. How the composition will be created(color limitations) is dependent upon its context.

in every 15 New York city tenants. And we all know that you have come across them at some time or another, whether you were the victim, you knew a victim, or you feared a victim.

In the most recent

fi scal year, which ended on June 30, the city’s 311 help line recorded 12,768 Bed Bug complaints. That’s 16 percent more than the previous year and 39 percent above the year before. Revolting.

The time is now to
