In the city of Sharn lives Abraxis Wren, the most famed of all Inquisitives, Eberron’s version of the privatedetective. Along with his assistant and close friend, Torin, Abraxis solves cases in this metropolis known asthe City of Towers.

After solving a murder mystery, Abraxis and Torin took a missing persons case, which has led them from theasylums of Sharn and the heights of Warden Towers—home of the City Watch—to the depths of the LowerWards, where Abraxis inadvertently freed an ancient evil known only as an “Old One.”
