Senior Sister Band 7: £30,250 - £39,779

As a place to live, work and enjoy life, Southend has a lot to offer. The border touches sea, city and countryside with some of England’s prettiest villages and liveliest towns. It is also just under an hour from London making it an ideal base to explore the capital city.

The Neonatal Unit is a Paediatric ward committed to providing evidence and research-based family care for our 18 cots that comprise of 2 Intensive, 3 High Dependency and 13 Special Care.

The Unit is now looking for a Senior Sister to maintain and develop a high quality service in conjunction with the Manager. You will be required to deputise in the absence of the Unit Manager, offering support and advice to junior members of the team.

You will need to have experience at a Band 6 level and possess the ability to lead all members of a Neonatal team. This will require strong organisational and managerial skills as well as excellent communication. Being a senior member of the team, you will need to be approachable and able to deal with confl ict.

We are ideally looking for a full-time Sister (37.5 hours per week), although this is negotiable.

For an informal discussion or to visit the ward, please contact Hayley Hurst by email: [email protected] or by telephone: 01702 508027.
