The city will roll out the red carpet, along with more events scheduled at the Motor Speedway, in honor of the momentous anniversary. HOOPS HYSTERIA Not only is Indy the national headquarters for the NCAA and their Hall of Fame museum, but Indy will play host city to the 2016 NCAA Women’s Final Four. 2016 marks the first year Indy will host all three divisions. BIG TEN IS BACK March and April are hoops filled with the Big Ten Men’s and Women’s Basketball Tournament at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. And December will mark the 6th Big Ten Football Championship in Indy. BRICKYARD 400 SUPER WEEKEND The weekend features the 23rd annual NASCAR Sprint Cup event along with the Nationwide Series and two GRAND-AM Road Racing races. BMW CHAMPIONSHIP The world’s greatest golfers will be back this September for the BMW Golf Championship at Crooked Stick Golf Course, home of Pete Dye. Visitors can purchase a daily pass for $8 to utilize Indy’s new method of green transportation. $100 MILLION in the pipeline for new hotel builds in Indianapolis, including a 21c. HAPPY BIRTHDAY. The state of Indiana celebrates its bicentennial all year long with bicentennial brews, exhibits throughout the city, and special events.
