PEOPLE Ferro Corp., Cleveland, has an- nounced that Nancy Arrowood has been appointed Sales/Service Rep- resentative for the Powder Coatings Div. Arrowood will be responsible for sales and service in northern Ohio, western Pemisylva- nia, and New York. Ferro also an- nounced that Joe King has joined the company as a Sales Representative for the Powder Coatings Div. King will be responsible for sales development in the division’s Central Region, prima- rily handling business in Kentucky and southern Indiana. Before joining the firm, King worked as a sales represen- tative at Lilly Industries. Steuben .I. LaCroce has been pro- moted to the position of Director, Printed Wiring Board Mate- rials by Enthone- OMI Inc., West Ha- ven, COM. In his 1 new position, LaC- rote will be respon- sible for directing worldwide marketing, as well as all re- search and development activities for the company’s printed wiring board fabrica- tion and assembly technologies. Pavco Inc., Cleveland, has an- nounced the ap- pointment of Mary Beth Coyne-Bryan as Quality Control Manager. In her new position, Coyne-Bryan will be responsible for the quality control of production materials and finished products. In addition she is involved in the implementation of the company’s IS0 9000 program and in the research and development of new zinc systems. The company also appointed Rita Szule to the position of Technical As- sistant in their re- search and technol- ogy department. Szule is currently working in the area of instrumentation and quality control analysis. Martin D. Rola has recently joined FANUC Robotics North America Inc., Auburn Hills, Mich. In his new position as an Ac- count Manager in the Paint Finishing Div., Rola will be responsible for marketing paint finish- ing systems to automotive fascia sup- pliers throughout the U.S. Coral Chemical Co., Waukegan, Ill., announced the promotion of John O’Connor to the position of General Line Product Spe- cialist. In his new position O’Connor will be responsible for building general line product capa- bility. Degussa Corp., Ridgefield Park, N.J., has appointed Alan Nedza to the position of Vice President and Gen- eral Manager, Indus- trial Chemicals Div. In this position he will be responsible for the company’s North American so- dium cyanide, hydrogen cyanide, cya- nuric chloride, Quab cationizing re- agents, Degadur industrial flooring, durferrit nitrocarburizing process, and resin and coatings intermediates. Osmonics Inc., Minnetonka, Minn., has appointed Clif- ford Frith to the position of General Manager and Chief Operating Office for the company’s operations in Up- land, Calif. He will continue to serve as GM and COO of the company’s operations in Liver- more, Calif., and Bryan, Texas. INDUSTRY ACTIWTIES Veeco Instruments Inc., Plainview, N.Y., has completed the acquisition of certain assets and personnel of the Me- dia and Magnetics Applications Div. of Materials Research Corp. Digital Instruments, Santa Bar- bara, Calif., is moving to new 50,000 ft’ facilities. The new building, located at 112 Robin Hill Rd., includes exten- sive clean room facilities and addi- tional laboratory, research, training, test, and office space. Taskem Inc., Brooklyn Heights, Ohio, has completed its move into a new facility that is approximately two and a half times larger than their old plant. The move to larger quarters was necessary to accommodate increased volumes of business and additions of new technology to Taskem’s line of proprietary metal-finishing and water- treatment products. Multi-Arc Inc., Rockaway, N.J., a supplier of PVD and CVD Ion Bond coatings, technology, and equipment, has acquired a one-third share in the Swiss company PreciCoat, which ser- vices a similar market in Europe. Ca- thodic arc PVD systems will be in- stalled to complement their existing sputtering equipment.
