SQUARE BILLETSA length of carbon steel with a cross-section, created directly via continuous casting to be further processed via profile rolling in order to create wire rod, rebar, or other structural shapes.

HOT ROLLED RODPre-heated carbon steel billets are rolled in a round cross section and made into rod coils of one continuous length through several mills; the rod’s surface is mechanically or chemically descaled, limed, pickled, or can be borax coated if required.

COLD DRAWN WIREDeacero’s wire rod is pulled through several dies and drawn by reducing the cross section of the coil, shaping the rod and increasing its length, free from scale with a bright surface finish.

Deacero’s list of specialized wire is extensive and made with high quality material.

PC WIRE This product is mainly used for pre-stressing concrete structures to increase strength; produced with high carbon, Deacero make it either smooth or indented, depending on customer’s requests.

ANNEALED WIREBy reducing its steel wire’s hardness through a process of thermal treatment, Deacero gives it a more malleable consistency; annealing can be either regular or sphereodized, the second one results in a more ductile wire.

STRAIGHT & CUTSteel wire is straightened and afterwards cut into the required length, depending on its final use; these can be fabricated with either bright or galvanized wires.

COLD HEADING QUALITY (CHQ)Wire rod thermally laminated which can be drawn and/or stretched to obtain specific properties, mainly for the construction and metallurgical industry. CHQ wire is suitable for fastener and cold heading applications such as bolts, nuts, screws, rivets, nails and others.

WIRE STRANDDeacero’s helically-strand several galvanized wires in one or more layers around a main central wire. Mainly used for electric and telecommunication purposes; standard configuration is 1x7 through 1x19.

WIRE ROPEDeacero’s helically-stranded several bright or galvanized wire strands in one or more layers around a main central strand. Often used in cranes, elevators, oil wells, fishing, among many others.

Low & HighCarbon

LOW CARBON WIREWith less carbon than other steels, it is easier to cold-form, thus, easier to handle; acceptable for many applications, malleable and ductile with a low tensile strength.
