INDUSTRIAL VISIT Himalaya cotton yarn ltd. This visit was initiated by 23 student of TT department studying in 2 nd Year. Himalaya cotton yarn Ltd. is well known for cotton and PC yarn manufacturing. This event was headed by Dr. P. A. Khatwani (HOD of Textile Department). The plant has an entire sequence of spinning line, consisting of a number of machines from blow room to spinning. It consists 60% of the latest technology and 40 percent of old machines. The machines include Blowroom Carding Draw Frame Ring Spinning. It also consists of a workshop for proper management at the time of breakdown. It is

Textile Technology department of SCET college had prepared a trip to

HIMALAYA COTTON YARN LTD, under the guidance of Prof. Hiren

Amin. This visit was initiated by 23 student of TT department studying in

The plant has an entire sequence of spinning line, consisting of a

number of machines from blow room to spinning. It consists 60% of the

into manufacturing of cotton and polyester yarn. Mill has no. of workers

working at high efficiency.

At Himalaya cotton yarn ltd, students learned about the production

process & management, and human resource management practices.

They understood the technical aspects of manufacturing yarn of varieties

of designs and quality and the working of the machines being used for

production. The production planning and scheduling activities were

found interesting by the students. They also collected information on the

company’s efforts on product innovations, productivity improvement and

cost reduction.

They enhance their knowledge about the safety regulations and

practices being followed. The students also inquired and solved their

queries in discussion with the technical staff and managers. The

students gained knowledge about the products being exported and other
