    ApplicationsDie grinding and engraving using mounted points. Deburring of castings and generalfiling using rotary burrs in ferrous and non-ferrous materials.

    The toolsThe high-speed and light-weight LSF 07 isideal in small detail precision die-makingapplications in a wide range of materials.The well-balanced pencil-style grip allowsease of use for the finest and minutest ofend product detail.  The 18-series is perfect for general purpose die grinding in most applications,whilst the 28-series has even more powerfor maximum material removal in thedeburring of castings or large welds. The 18and 28-series are available in short and longmodels for easy accessibility.  Both the 18 and 28-series range have aunique vibration-damping system that apartfrom reducing vibrations transferred to theoperator also virtually eliminates ‘chattering’of the burr on the work piece. The systemalso cuts burr consumption by at least 20%

    Light deburring, die grindingand engraving

    TC: Tungsten carbide tipped rotary burr.

     HSS: High speed steel burrs. Use a ne cut burr for

    hard and/or tough materials and a coarse cut burr

     for stainless steel, soft materials or light alloy.

    For mounted points, follow the recommendation

    applicable to the particular mounted point.

    The high speed LSF 07 should be used with tungsten

    carbide burr only or with mounted points having the

    corresponding max rpm.

     LSF 07 can be used with up to 4 mm burr heads.

    and provides a superior final surface finish.The speed governor inside the 18 and28-series tools is finely tuned to deliverhigh power performance while keeping toolweight low. The built-in silencer keeps thesound level for the LSF 18 below 75 dB(A)and under 78 dB(A) for the LSF 28.

    Shaft diameterThe precision LSF 07 is supplied with a3 mm collet as standard. A 1/8” collet isavailable as an option. The LSF 18/28/38are fitted with a 6 mm collet as standard.Other sizes are available as optionalaccessories.  Should the material you are working inspecify a burr head of 12 mm or more, it isrecommended you select an 8 mm shaftand collet tool combination.

    Applications Dry sanding and surface preparation, suchas removing handling marks and smoothingdown welds on car bodies and other sheetmetal objects. Rust and paint removal  withfiber discs on sheet metal objects. Sandingand smoothing down the surface on wood,metal and non-ferrous objects and on glassfiber reinforced plastic. Polishing, grindlineremoving and reducing surface roughness.

    The lubrication free models leave no oilmist in the exhaust air or on the sanded sur-face. They are therefore very suitable forhigh quality surface preparation in connec-tion with painting operations, etc.

    Rpm selectionAlways follow the recommendations given by the manufacturer of the abrasive whichis used in each application. The recommen-ded working speed is usually between 50 –75% of the maximum permissible speed ofthe abrasive.

    The following example is given for fiberdiscs, diameter 180 mm, by one manufac-turer of abrasives:

    ApplicationFor general adjustment grinding, weld preparations and light cleaning of castingsusing bonded abrasives with depressed-centreor straight-sided wheels. Other applicationsinclude those that require a finer surfacefinish such as weld grinding, removal ofcasting scale and sand, or rough cleaninggrinding in soft materials with coarse gritfibre discs.

    Power unit PU81

    The top of the PU81 features a red lamp andservice button. Before service is required, the

    tool stops and the red lamp lights up, warningthe operator that it is time for service.

    By pressing the lamp, the operator hasacknowledged that the tool requires service;however, the operator is allowed to continueusing the tool to prevent unnecessary downtime.If this message is repeatedly ignored, thegrinder finally stops and cannot be run untilserviced.

    The power unit connects to the 230V power drop and ensures that yourBrazor tool is supplied with enough power at all times to keep productivity at maximum.

    The PU81 is ruggedly designed for survival in the toughestenvironments. Seals prevent penetration of dust and dirt. A built-inGround Fault Interrupter (GFI) will ensure electrical safety. The lowweight of the PU81, combined with a 2, 5, 10 or 20 m tool cable, ensuresthat the operator is free to move the system to wherever needed.

    Selection guide

    Different materials requiredifferent cutting speeds. Thecutting speed is determined by thetool spindle speed and the drill bitdiameter. The cutting speedincreases with increased drill bitdiameter. Drilling with highercutting speed than recommended

    can result in faster drill bit wearand lower hole quality. Forexample: if the material is castiron and the drill bit diameter is3 mm the right tool speed is2,400 rpm.
