DEFENSE COOPERATION
• Foreign Affairs Committee of Finnish Parliament visited Indonesia in 2013 to seek the possibility of promoting defense cooperation.
• Finland participated in Jakarta International Defense Dialogue (JIDD) in 2014
• Visit of Indonesian Minister of Defense to Finland in 2014
• Possible cooperation in the field of cyber defense, maritime security and surveillance, and defense industry.

• Finnish Promotion (Finpro) has opened its representative office
in Indonesia in June 2012. • Finnish Minister of European Affairs and Foreign Trade,
Alexander Stubb visited Indonesia in 2012. • Indonesian Chamber of Commerce visited Finland in 8-9 Oct
2012 • Finnish Economic Affairs Minister Jan Vapaavuori brought some
of Finland’s leading business and industrial leaders to Indonesia, in 2013.
• Tampere Chamber of Commerce with 7 big companies visited Indonesia in 2014.
• Indonesian Embassy in Helsinki brings some companies from Finland and Estonia to attend Trade Expo Indonesia in Jakarta, 8-12 October 2014.

EDUCATION
The result of the visit by the Minister of Education and Science
of Finland, Ms. Krista Kiuru on 20-21 August 2013 and the bilateral meeting with the Indonesian
Minister of Education and Culture on 21 August 2013 which they agreed to formalize bilateral
cooperation in the field of education in the form of an MoU and held a regular consultation in the form of Joint Working Group.
Existing cooperation between universities in both countries,
such as :
Aalto University with ITB in Master of Business Management.
Technology University Tampere with Bakrie University concentration in research, business, engineering and forestry
Finnish Indonesia Research Network (FIRN) in University of Helsinki
