an organization Ive been proud to be associated with

since coming to Nashville in 1997. The Sports Council

dramatically impacts our community rom an economic

standpoint, but also enhances our quality o lie and

sense o community spirit and pride.

Fact The Nashville Sports Council Foundation awards scholarships and grants that help

individuals, teams, and organizations follow their dreams to compete nationally and internationally

at the amateur level. And, through our Good Sports Program, the NSC involves Middle Tennessee

youth with our events and initiatives that foster healthy and active lifestyles. The program also serves

to educate youth on the importance of sports and the impact they can have on their community

through athletics. Nashville is simply a better place to live, work, and play thanks to the NSC andits members and volunteers. You can help make a difference by making an additional investment

in our youth through the NSC Foundation and our Good Sports Program which is a contribution

to our 501(c)3 extension of the NSC. Information is available on our application. Be sure to visit

Fact The Nashville Sports Council (NSC), an

independent, non-prot organization, has

made Music City one of the countrys bestcommunities for hosting sporting events.

The NSC is responsible for raising its own funds,

and only through ongoing membership and private

support can Nashville compete against other cities

to host some of the nations premier sporting events.

Since 1992, weve hosted more than 120 sporting

events that have yielded a direct economic impact

of over $340 million. In fact, since 2001 with the

creation of our Scorecard measurement system,

TERMS OF MEMBERSHIP

The Nashville Sports Council is a 501(c)6 non-prot, membership- based organization. Membership shall be available to any individual or organization who pays the dues prescribed by the board of directors a nd who

otherwise qualies pursuant to requirements promulgated by the board. Any person or organization which subscribes to the objectives of the Nashville Sports Council shall be eligible for membership without regard

to race, creed, color, religious afliation, or national origin. Membership benets are fullled on a calendar-year basis by join date a nd are active on renewal and/or purchase date. Memberships are non-transferable

and may be tax deductible as a business expense. Memberships may be purchased and owned by individuals, corporations, and/or organizations. Members cannot transfer ownership without writ ten notication

and approval by the N ashville Sports Council. Membership benets a nd privileges of ownership (e.g., exclusive ticket opportunities, invitations to events, etc.) may not be tra nsferred to anyone other than the

named member unless specied by the Nashville Sports Council. If and when the members contact information such a s address, phone, fax, a nd e-mail along with any other pertinent information is changed, the

Nashville Sports Council must receive written notication for incorrect records and assumes no liability for lost membership benets for incorrect information. By joining the Nashville Sports Council as a member

you acknowledge that you have a relationship with the Nashville Sports Council, and you will be contacted by mail, e-mail, phone, and/or fax regarding Nashville Sports Council events, membership opportunities
