Subject: Annual Contract for repair/renovation of office furniture & other related items.

Sir,The undersigned is directed to invite sealed quotations from the reputed firms for award of Annual

contract for repair/renovation of office furniture & other related items.

2. In case, you are interested to do the job, you are requested to send your quotation in a sealed coveralong with the Earnest Money Deposit (EMD)of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) in the form ofDD/Banker's Cheque from Nationalized Bank drawn in favour of 'PB, BCI, DGAIR New Delhi' addressed toDDA(GA). The tenders should be dropped in the tender Box kept in Room No. 225, 2nd floor, AkashvaniBhawan, Sansad Marg, New Delhi - 110001 before 3.00 PM on 07.05.2014. The Tenderer registered withthe Central Purchase Organization and/or National small Industries Corporation are exempted from BidSecurity. The Tender will not be allowed to be dropped in the tender box after- the due date and time.Tenders can also be sent by registered post at the aforesaid address so as to reach this Directorate Generalby the scheduled date/time.

3. The Tenderswill be opened by this Office on 07.05.2014 at 04.00 ~. in the presence of representatives

of the participating tenderers who may be willing to be present at the time of opening of tenders. Such

persons should reach before 04.00 P.M. on that day and bring the authority letters from the tenderers

concerned on their letter head. The authority letter should also contain signature of the authorized

representative, duly attested by the authorized signatory of the Tenderers.

4. The terms and conditions attached to this LTE are given in Annexure-A.

5. The item showing, interalia the format in which rates should be quoted, is given in Annexure-B.

I. The sealed envelope containmg tender should be superscribed in right hand upper comer. as"Tender for repair/renovation of office furniture & other related items etc. (Due date07.05.2014 by 3.00 P.M."

2. The tenders should be submitted legibly in EnglishlHindi.3. The tenderers should submit a copy of their PAN Card and Tax Registration Certificate along with the

tender. ~4. Quotation once submitted shall not be allowed to be withdrawn till the quotation process for

acceptance remains in force.5. Over-writing, over-typing or erasing of figures are not allowed.6. DG: AIR reserves all rights to accept or not to accept one or more quotation or reject all the

quotations after assigning reasons.7. The tenders should be valid for at least 90 days from the last date of submission thereof.8. The Price offered should show the rate/amount of VAT and other applicable taxes extra Tenderers

quoting price inclusive oftaxes, without giving rates/amount of taxes will not be considered.9. The incomplete, vague, unresponsive and late/delayed tenders will not be considered. A tender will

be considered unresponsive, wherei) It is unsigned or signed without the rubber stamp of authorized signatory of the firm.ii) It is illegible.iii) It is not submitted as per Notice Inviting Tender and as per any of the terms and conditions.iv) The goods offered are sub-standard, not meeting the requirements.v) The quotation has not been made for all the items.vi) The tender is conditional.vii) The tender does not agree to any of the terms and conditions specified herein.

10. In case the work/service is not found satisfactory, the Directorate reserves the right to terminate thecontract at any stage and the bank guarantee shall be forfeited.11. The contract awarded will be initially for a period of one year and shall be extendable by another year

and by mutual consent. .However, the total period of contract shall not exceed three years.12. The successful tenderer shall be required to submit Rs.20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand only) as a

security deposit-cum-performance security in the form of a DD/Banker cheque drawn in favour of PB(BCl) DG:AIR, New Delhi within one week of the award of the Contract.

13. The contract shall be operative for one year w.e.f the date of award of the Contract unless it isterminated earlier by this Directorate by giving one month notice in writing. This office However.shall not be bound to give any reason for termination of the contract.

14. The contractor shall carry out the work assigned by Section Officer, GA Section only.15. The contractor should deploy one person in the premises of Akashvani Bhawan attending day-to-day

complaints ..16. The contractor shall carryout the repair and renovation work in the premises of Akashvani Bhawan as

for as possible. Only in the event of non-possibility of carrying out a particular repair or renovationwork within the premises of DG:AIR, the concerned furniture or other items shall be allowed to betaken out of the premises of Akashvani Bhawan for the required repair or renovation work withwritten authority of Section Officer, GA section.

17. The Contractor shall use only good quality material. Particularly ISI marked for repair/renovation ofoffice furniture & other related items etc.

18. The said security deposit-cum-performance security shall be liable to be forfeited in the event of an;'deficiency in service on the part of the contractor.

19 In case of any dispute regarding this contract. The decision of the Director General. AlIlndia Radio orany other officer authorized by him shall be final.

20. lffor any reason you fail to accept the contract in writing and deposit the prescribed cash security b)the stipulated date, the earnest money deposited by you shall stand forfeited to the government.

21. As regards the repair/renovation of any other item not listed in Annexure .B' the Contractor shallsubmit an estimate and take up the work on approval of competent authority conveyed by SO(GA)section.
