What are we looking for?
We are in search of a vendor who can provide a customizable off-the-shelf comprehensive solution.
The “ideal” off-the-shelf product must contain and provide the following:

See page 30 (3.3 Search Features e and f) In many cases, patients will purposely alter their personal
information in order to avoid detection from the Prescription Monitoring Program. As a result, it is imperative that the PMP system have some type of search mechanism that will accurately group related data (such as, first and last name variations, date-of-births, and addresses) and exclude irrelevant data, improving overall search returns.
There are cases when patients share identical or similar
information, (e.g. father and son, twins, etc). As a result, it is important that the system have the capability to accurately make a distinction between similar, albeit still unique patients, and ensure these inquires are processed accurately.
Search Logic Examples Individuals with the same name and date-of-birth with multiple
addresses. First and last name variations including the date-of-birth:
• Robert Smith DOB: 04/21/1972 vs. Bob Smith DOB: 04/12/1972 • Danny Rhodenn, Sr. DOB: 02/10/1950 vs. Dan Rodem m DOB: 06/21/1945• Shawn William vs. Sean William vs. Shawyn William
Twin scenario:Andrea Smith vs. Andrew Smith, DOB: 07/19/1984 with only two addresses being the same.
Individuals who share the same patient keys, maybe the same date-of-birth and all or some of the addresses are the same. Michael & Shelly Smith or Luann & Linda Smith
