Definition

Ethos A Greek word, which means

both as individual character so also a

community cuture.

It is the characteristic spirit of culture,era or community.

It is based on customs and tradition.

They are neither judged right nor wrong.

The Indian Ethos is the outcome of the Hindu

wayof life. Indian ethos means application of

principles of managing an organisationrevealed in out ancient wisdom described in

Bhagwat Gita, Vedas, the Ramayana and

Upanishads.

It focuses on the principle- If you are good,

the whole world is good.

TQM can be assured through excellence at

work through self-motivation and self-development.

Principles of Indian Ethos

Each soul is a potential GOD.

Karma Yoga- Gita says that do your duty

without ego and without calculations of

gain or loss. One should believe inNishkama Karma i.e. fruits of work

should not be thought of while

performing the duty. Why do I work?

yoga uchyate- He who works with calm and

even mind achieves the most.
