Assess impacts of hydro-met hazards on mountain communities and socio-economic infrastructure

Develop, identify and implement feasible risk mitigation measures at community level

Facilitate knowledge networking and information sharing on issues related to climate risk management

Demonstrate an approach for integrating climate risk management into on-going national DRM initiatives

Project outputs

Outputs –

i. assess risks and impacts of hydro-met hazards

ii. Identify and implement community-based risk reduction and preparedness measures

iii. Knowledge networking and coordination for climate risk management and inform the process of policy formulation

i. data-base of hydro-met hazards

ii. Prepare HVR assessment reports

iii. Compile an inventory of glacial lakes using GIS platform
