Independent Cinema Listings:Most of the films listed are rated 15 and above, therefore this is evident that the films are aimed at an older audience.

There are many genres that the films these cinemas list are mainly action. However, there is also a number of romance films and documentaries.

They tend to show films that are set in a older generation, most popularly from the 80’s.

A tactical move that these independent cinemas tend to do, is to list huge Blockbuster movies such bas Dead Pool and Star Wars which means they will make more money.

Cramphorn Theatre and Chelmsford Film Club

Chelmsford Film Club was founded in 1987 and aims to show some of the best in independent, arthouse and world cinema.

All films are screened at the Cramphorn Theatre in Chelmsford, and start at 8pm (unless otherwise indicated). The theatre has a licenced bar, available from 7pm, and a modern, fully-digital projection system.

Guest tickets are £6 and are available on the night on a first come, first served, basis.
