PUL is in response to the prescription of orthodontists who want to give theirpatients the benefit of a multifunctional appliance that combines aesthetics, comfortand efficiency.
Characteristics
▪ Better patient compliance. ▪ Aesthetic and comfortable: it is discreet, light, allows a good diction and can be worn
at school. ▪ Physiological: gentle propulsion due to the integrated coil-springs (TMJ protection). ▪ Universal: it is indicated for all facial typologies. ▪ Multi-functional: 4D harmonizer, it allows several simultaneous actions, sagittaly,
transversally, ▪ vertically and functionally, saving treatment time.
Clinical effects: 4D harmonization
1. In younger patients with hyperdivergent (dolichofacial) growth and multiple dysfunctions: oral breathing, deglutition and mastication (hypotonia).
a. The mandibular propulsion helps bi-labial contact and increases the pharyngeal space improving nasal breathing and preventing sleep apnea.
b. The posterior occlusal contact induces a proprioceptive stimulation and contraction of the masseter-temporal bers, improving mastication.
c. Improvement of the lingual function (position and deglutition) and natural correction of open-bites.
d. This leads to a change in growth direction, from dolicho to mesofacial.
2. In patients with hypodivergent (brachyfacial) growth: the mandibular propulsion and posterior disocclusion lead to a change in the direction of the temporo-masseter muscles and a neutralization of the occlusal forces. This induces rapid Class II correction and overbite correction by natural extrusion of the posterior teeth.

Digital Models in DDP-Ortho system are designed for: ▪ orthodontic diagnostic ▪ treatment planning and simulation ▪ treatment support ▪ patient’s data archive
Virtual diagnostic models dedicated for orthodontics are natural stage of patient’s digital data work development. All features of digital procedures are present. At he same time, virtual modes can be restored to a physical form using 3D printing technology if necessary. Range of the tools available in free, medically certified DDP-Ortho software is very wide: ▪ model analysis automatization ▪ free measurements ▪ several bite analysis methods ▪ few procedures of virtual set-up, including automatized one ▪ orthodontic brackets placement planning ▪ aligners designing ▪ complete patient’s record
SemiPro models are an evaluation of the Basic models. Improvements apply especially to virtual set-up. SemiPro models are delivered with segmented teeth and improved measurements. Are directly ready to virtual set-up and save doctors work time.
