Barrier Verification System (BVS)
Product Benefits • Records pressure and
temperature across an installed barrier
• Provides documentable verifica6on of a barrier
• Memory or E-line read out versions available
• Wireless reading of data • Allows verifica6on of two
barriers installed in close proximity
The BVS has been designed to verify a barrier afer seNng. The BVS consists of two parts; a transmiQer placed below the barrier, and a receiver mounted above the EST. Verifica6on is achieved by recording the pressure and temperature readings across the installed barrier whilst pressure tes6ng is taking place.

Barrier Verification System, Typical Application
• 350-700 HEX Plug set and tested in 7” liner.
• Run in hole with 420-550 ME fitted with BVS and set in 5 ½” Tubing.
• Due to small volume between barriers, upper plug integrity unable to be confirmed via pressure test
• Pressure test upper plug with EST setting tool position above
• BVS transmitter wirelessly sends pressure and temperature readings to receiver located in EST.
• Providing documented confirmation of Well Barrier Integrity

Regulators Expectations Norsok D010
Barrier Requirements for any well • Barrier condition needs to be known
and understood. • Robust barriers are required to fulfill
regulator requirement.
• More reliable verification of barriers is needed, especially when plugging & abandoning a well.

Improvement for the operator on Well Verification
• Verification of a barrier & well integrity with a higher degree of confidence.
• Reduces tensile stress from pressure testing
from surface, especially in «weak» well constructions.
• More time efficient, less testing volume and
temperature effects. • Online and real-time data from the well is
available instantly for use as a basis in decision making.
