It is with a great sense of gratitude that we share with you the 2018 Honor Roll of Donors to the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur.

St. Julie Billiart, the founder of the Congregation, had a vision that her sisters would go throughout the world, proclaiming God’s loving care for all peoples. In their Constitutions, the Sisters describe their mission succinctly: God calls the Sisters – through the needs of our world – “to proclaim Jesus Christ and to participate in his liberating mission.”

Everyone whose name is honored is a partner with the Sisters in this sacred vision and mission.

At Villa Julie, your generosity has provided lovely gathering places for the Sisters with the renovation of the porches. Across the ocean, you helped to fund the Women’s Empowerment Project which has provided training for some of our African Sisters, enabling them to address the scourge of human trafficking. Your ongoing support has provided resources for us to tend to the care and needs of our Sisters in retirement. You help to ensure that our Sisters – who have given 60 and 70 years of their lives to being “women for others” – receive a quality of care in illness and advancing years, without diminishing the ability of active members to continue teaching, nursing, and doing pastoral work, beyond the dictates of needed income.

The gratitude of the Sisters knows no bounds and you can be assured that you and your loved ones are remembered daily in their prayers.

What is Annual Giving? Annual Giving is the general funding raised by the Tri-Province Development Program to support the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur in many ways. A gift may go toward supporting an unfunded or underfunded Sister working in either a city or rural area here in the United States. A gift could also provide the needed support for our Sisters in five continents. And finally, a gift might assist in meeting the retirement and health needs of those Sisters who have given so much of themselves to others.
