Welcome to dynaMACS on the Cloud

You asked for it…You got it! dynaMACS is now available with Cloud Technology!

In today’s competitive sales environment you need the best tools to get the job done. That includes MOBILITY! With dynaMACS on the Cloud, you can access all of your sales information with just a few taps on your iPad or other hand held device. Imagine sitting in a client meeting and having the ability to display their sales information directly on your iPad or iPhone? And then from there, emailing that client a snapshot of the very image you are discussing? With dynaMACS on the Cloud you can achieve that and so much more.

Gone are the days of synchronizing local databases between the Agency and the Sales Rep! With dynaMACS on the Cloud your data is always up to date. No more emails to and from the agency to download the latest database. Real time data is now always at your fingertips. Having access to live data enables you to make more-informed decisions on the spot.

Getting Started

Logging on to dynaMACS on the Cloud from an iPadThe following instructions assume that the user has general knowledge of navigating on an iPad (i.e. tapping in a field to access and update the field). Also that the user has Citrix installed. (See Appendix B for installing Citrix on an iPad.)

B From your iPad desktop select the Citrix icon.

C Select the dynaMACS Cloud desktop icon

D Enter your user password and select the OK button

Note: the following messages will appear as your settings are being loaded.

E At the dynaMACS login screen, select the Black Tab to open the Application Settings Menu Bar.

F Select the Keyboard icon.

G Enter your dynaMACS User ID and Password and select the Logon button.

B Log off of dynaMACS by selecting the Log-Off icon from the dynaMACS main screen and then selecting the Yes button to verify.

C After dynaMACS shuts down, the following message will appear. This is the Cloud saving your settings and closing your connection.

D At this point you are logged out of dynaMACS. To log out of Citrix, select the Home button on your iPad.

E You are now back at your iPad desktop screen.

Appendix A: Prerequisites

CitrixIn order to access dynaMACS on the Cloud, the Citrix application must be installed on the device you are using.

Please see sections on Citrix Installation for the appropriate device.

JavadynaMACS on the Cloud also requires that Java be installed on the device you are using.

Please see sections on Installing Java for the appropriate device.

Appendix B: Citrix Installation for Apple iPad

This process is a prerequisite for using dynaMACS on an Apple iPad. The following instructions assume that the user has general knowledge of navigating on an iPad (i.e. tapping in a field to access and update the field and so forth).

B Select the App Store icon to open the Apple App Store.

C Select the Featured button

D In the Search field enter “citrix receiver for ipad”.

F Select the Install App button to begin the download of Citrix Receiver for iPad.

G Enter your Apple ID Password and select the OK button which will bring you back to your iPad Desktop.

B From your internet browser enter www.dns-ny.com/download.htm in the address box.

C Select HostClient.exe from the DNS website.

D From the File Download – Security Warning pop up select the Run button.

E As the HostClient file is downloading the following screen will appear:

F Once the download of the HostClient file is complete, the Security Warning message below will appear. Select the Run button.

Logging Out of dynaMACS Incorrectly

If a user has logged out of dynaMACS incorrectly, the next time they attempt to log in the following message will appear:

You can select the OK button to proceed on to logging into dynaMACS or you can select the Cancel button to discontinue the login process.

Windows Program Compatibility AssistantThe Program Compatibility Assistant detects known compatibility issues in older programs. After you have run an older program in Windows Vista or Windows Server 2008, it notifies you if there is a problem and offers to fix it the next time you run the program. If the compatibility issue is serious, the Program Compatibility Assistant might warn you or block the program from running. If that happens, you'll have the option to check online for possible solutions.

Appendix H: Tips

Capturing Screen Shots on an iPad

B Open any application or window of which you would like to take the screenshot and hold the Home button, and tap the Power button (located on top right corner) of your iPad.

Your screen will flash instantly, and you’ll hear a camera clicking sound. The screenshot will be saved under Photos on iPad. You can then share the screenshot easily using the ‘Email Photo’ option on your iPad.
