In Room 8 we were wondering …
how can we make our school a better place to
be?
This is our Inquiry.
The concrete games are
fun and help us to learn…• colours• shapes• numbers
• letters
But…
We can’t play on some
of them because
we can’t see them.
The paint has faded.
We wondered…
Why has the
paint faded?
• Maybe the paint is too cheap.
• We might have walked on it too much.
• The sun might have faded it.• The paint might not be good paint.
We wondered
what we could
do to make
the games
better…
We will need …• paint• brushes• money for the paint• help to paint the
games
We decided that we should paint the games…
what will we need?
We asked the Junior
children which games
they like to play.
Then …
We asked Mr Ron
if he has any paint and
brushes.
We will ask mums and dads to help.
We decided to ask Mrs Ireland if we have any money for the paint.
We found out that the Board of Trustees looks after our school, we will ask them if they can help.
We wondered
if there was
better paint
that we could use.
Some children
went to the paint shop
to ask about
different kinds of paint.
We discovered that…
Pavement paint
• lasts a long time• comes in dark colours.
and…• is very expensive.
We discovered that…
House paint • will wear off more quickly.• has lots of bright colours.• will cost $30 for 500ml.
We decided …It will be better to paint the games withhouse paint and paint over them againwhen they fade.We will need 8 bright colours.
Now we need help with some
money. We will need about $300.
Then we can
play on the games again.
Thank you,
From Room 8.
