Kamineni Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) is hosting "The International
Conference on Genetic and Molecular Diagnosis in Modern Medicine-2016"
at Narketpally, Telangana.
thTelangana, the 29 State of India is known for its rich cultural heritage, art,
crafts and several reputed Universities and National Science Institutes. It is
also known as IT and Health care hub of South India. It has several premier
undergraduate and postgraduate Medical colleges and Kamineni Institute
of Medical Sciences is one such Institution.
KIMS was started by Kamineni Educational Society in 1999, with a vision of
“Establishing an Institute of Medical Sciences and Research of global
standards to serve the people in the region with advanced medical facilities
with special focus on rural population”.
KIMS Campus is located at Sreepuram, Narketpally, Nalgonda District on
National Highway- 65. It is 85 Km from Hyderabad and 190 Km from
Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. Magnificence of the Institute and Hospital
buildings compliment the 30 acre landscape on which they are built. Special
emphasis is laid on the lawns, avenue trees, flower gardens, etc. which give an
aesthetic touch to the entire panorama. This together with its location gives
the campus a serene atmosphere which is indispensable in imparting quality
education and training. The Institute admits 200 undergraduate students
annually, has Postgraduate courses in 23 specialities and super-speciality
course in Urology.
The Mission of health professionals is to respond to ever-changing priorities and
advancements in Science. The enormous progress in the field of Genetics and Molecular
Biology has impacted society in numerous ways. Translating these into diagnostics has
immense scope in providing better health services, hence this conference aims to have
some insight into the role of Genetics and Molecular screening in health and disease. The
conference will highlight the translation of the current knowledge in Genetics and
Molecular Biology for individualizing clinical medicine, thereby providing the most
appropriate health care.
This two days conference and the pre-conference workshops will provide a functional
interactive platform for clinicians, researchers, laboratory personnel, counselors and
most importantly for medical students as well as faculty.
The conference will focus on Genetic and Molecular screening of:

Neonatal and Paediatric genetic disorders
Antenatal and Gynaecological conditions
Neurological, Musculoskeletal and other complex disorders
and
Pharmacogenomics.

recreation centre, containing both natural and artificial attractions including an

Pochampally
Pochampally, the silk city, is a cluster of 80 villages, has traditional looms, whose design is
more than a century-old. They are popular for their traditional geometric patterns in Ikat
style of dyeing, marketed as beautiful sarees and dress material. It is situated about 55 kms
from KIMS, Narketpally on the NH 65.
