Barbara Cotton, age 68, of Clark, died in a Sioux Falls Hospital on Saturday, July 25, 2020. She was born Barbara Muehleisen on May 15, 1952, to John and Marie (Brekke) Muehleisen in Webster, SD. She attended Bradley & Webster schools through the 10th grade. Barbara loved animals of any kind, but espe-cially horses. She truly was a caregiver her entire life. She was just a simple girl with such a big heart. Barbara began taking care of her mom early on in life and then became the caregiver for Hector Wicks. She lived with and cared for Hector for many years. After caring for Hector she lived with Dorothy Sehnert, prior to moving to the Avantara Clark Care Center. Keeping her love of horses, at Avantara, Bar-bara would keep busy drawing and coloring felt horses to hand out to guests and other residents. She enjoyed word searches, cross words, and puz-zles. Preceding her in death, Barbara will be joining her son, four brothers, parents, and many extended family members. She leaves behind her sister, Dorothy Sehnert of Clark, several nieces and nephews, and some step-children. She also leaves behind many special friends like Boots Nickels.
