“ IN HIS PRESENCE”
BY PASTOR YEMISI BAMGBOSE
EXODUS 33:14 NLT
The LORD replied, “I will personally go with you, Moses, and I will give you rest-everything will be
fine for you.”
Moses knew for him to succeed in the assignment God gave to him, he will need the presence of
God to go with him and the Israelites to provide them with cover, security, protection, leading
and guidance. His presence provides them with the assurance that they are still in the will of God.
Moses is clever enough to asked God to go with him, many of us today do things and go places
without asking for God's presence to go with us in order to provides us with direction and to
guide us aright.
The presence of God with the children of Israel, makes their enemies unable to subdue them.
The fear and the dread of God was upon all the surrounding nations and they were unable to
attack the children of Israel.
The presence of God is the tangible glory that accompanied every true child of God.
Psalm 139:7. Says Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? From
this scripture, it is evidence that you cannot escape from His presence.
Where can you go from His presence? Where can you go from His spirit?
God is everywhere that is why there will be no hiding place on the day of judgement.
All your secrets sins are open to Him.
Before you commit the sin, before the thoughts crosses your mind, they are already known to
Him.
We have to be very careful with our thoughts, what we discuss with other people, the gossips we
partake are all open to Him of whom we will give account to in the day of judgement.
God's presence cannot dwell in an unclean environment.
For the presence to go with us into the year, we have to get rid of sins, human flaws, bad
character and wrong attitude in order to sustain and maintain His presence.
God can only dwell in the atmosphere of holiness and righteous living, anything contrary will
expose such individual to nakedness.
Genesis 3:8-9 Adam and Eve lost the presence of God because of sin and they lost their
authority over the earth, lost His glory, lost their dominion, lost their peaceful garden, they
became naked and afraid because of disobedience to God.
In 2017, don't lose the presence of God.
Don't expose yourself to the onslaught of the devil.
Ecclesiastes 10:8 If you break the hedge, serpent will bite you. Stay under His protective cover.
Psalm
8:1 says "how excellent is Your name in all the earth, He sets His glory above the heavens"
His presence is majestic in nature that causes the enemies to dive for cover.
The Presence of God gives joy. Psalm 16:11
The presence of God offers help in times of trouble. Psalm 46:1. You can depend on Him in
times of trouble and He will rescue you.
The presence of God offers total security. You can try to protect yourself when you are awake,
can you protect yourself when you are asleep? Take His presence with you for absolute
protection.
Psalm 31:20. Says “Thou shalt hide them in the secret of thy presence from the pride of man:
thou shalt keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues.”
We are kept in the secret place of His presence, from the plot of man; God keeps us secretly in
His pavilion, away from the strife of tongues. Continued on page 3

God reveals His secret to you when you dwell in His presence. The secret of the enemies is made
known to you in the presence of God. Psalm 25:14.
God can give us divine idea when we dwell in His presence. Your own weakness is dealt with in
His presence.
If He is guiding you, you will not fall into the trap of your enemy.
Anything that the enemy may use to lure you into a trap, shall fail in Jesus name.
Acts 16:6-10 It's good to be guided by God
The ability to know when the enemy is presenting you with poison, the Lord will give to you.
You are kept safe and secured in His presence.
You can make a decree and it will come to pass when you are God's presence. 1 Kings 17:1
His presence provided solutions to all problems. The presence of God brings His power and His
power brings provision.
Wherever God is present, everything must obey Him.
His word is law that must be obeyed by all, including powers, thrones, demons and elements etc.
Isaiah 55:11
The weather must obey Him
Mark 3:37-39 “And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And
the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.”
Dry bones must obey Him. Ezekiel 37
Death must obey Him. John 11:43-44
Sickness must obey Him. Matthew 8:14-17
Lack must obey Him. 1 Kings 17:13-16
Demons must obey Him . Luke 8:26-40
Poverty must obey Him. 2 Kings 4:1-7
The heathen king must obey Him. Daniel 4:1-3
Situation and circumstances must obey God He parted the Red Sea. Exodus 14:16-28
He pulled down the wall of Jericho. Joshua 6:4-20
The rock obeyed Him. Exodus 17:6
“Behold, I will stand before thee there upon the rock in Horeb; and thou shalt smite the rock, and there
shall come water out of it that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.”
The presence of God guarantees our victory over the enemies.
Sickness cannot stand in His presence, because by His stripe you were healed. Isaiah 53:5
Failure cannot dwell in His presence because success is one of His attributes.
Disappointment cannot live in His presence because He is our best connection.
Opposition will crumble in His presence, because He is Awe struck.
Barrenness cannot stay in His presence, because He is the fruitful vine.
There is orderliness in His presence, because He spoke to the chaotic situation and there was
order.
Darkness cannot stay in His presence because God is light.
Death can stand in His presence, because He is the resurrection and life.
God's presence means all shall be well this year.
His presence produces, joy, peace, fruitfulness, fulfilment, health, wealth, victory, power, anointing
and dominion. We must cultivate the habit of dwelling in His presence.
The psalmist said, surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and
I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Psalm 23:6
Dwelling in His presence and in His house will give you permanent joy and provide you
with His ministering angels…
Prayer: Father, for the rest of my life, guide me every step of the way, teach me when
to say no, when to yes, when to turn left and right, guide me every step of the way.
Shalom!!!!

A Jewish Christian
A Jewish businessman in America decided to send his son to Israel to
absorb some of the culture of the homeland. When the son returned, the
father asked him to tell him about his trip. The son said, "Pop, I had a great
time in Israel. By the way, I converted to Christianity." "Oy vey," said the father. "What
have I done?" He decided to go ask his friend Jacob what to do. Jacob said, "Funny you
should ask. I too sent my son to Israel, and he also came back a Christian. Perhaps we
should go see the rabbi and ask him what we should do." So they went to see the Rab-
bi. The Rabbi said, "Funny you should ask. I too sent my son to Israel. He also came back
a Christian. What is happening to our young people? Perhaps we should go talk to God
and ask him what to do." The three of them prayed and explained what had happened
to their sons and asked God what to do. Suddenly a voice came loud and clear from
Heaven. The Voice said, "funny you should ask, I too sent my son to Isreal..."
A Million Years
A man is talking to God. "God, how long is a million years?" God answers, "To me, it's
about a minute." "God, how much is a million pounds?" "To me, it's a pence." "God, may
I have a pence?" "Wait a minute."
The New Minister’s Sermon
The new minister stood at the church door greeting the members as they left the
Sunday service. Most of the people were very generous telling the new minister how
much they liked his message, except for one man who said, "That was a very dull and
boring sermon, pastor."
A few minutes later, the same man again appeared in line and said, "I don't think you
did much preparation for your message."
Once again, the man appeared, this time muttering, "You really blew it. You didn't
have a thing to say, pastor."
Finally, the minister could stand it no longer. He went to one of the deacons and
inquired about the man.
"Oh, don't let that guy bother you," said the deacon. "He's a little slow. All he does
is going around repeating whatever he hears other people saying."
What would Jesus do?
Angela was preparing pancakes for her young sons. The boys began to argue over who
would get the first pancake. Their Mother saw the opportunity for a moral lesson. If
Jesus were sitting here, He would say, "Let my brother have the first pancake. I can
wait." The oldest boy turned to his younger brother and said,
"You be Jesus."

HYMN 1
O WORSHIP THE KING
O worship the King, all glorious above,
O gratefully sing His power and His love;
Our Shield and Defender,
The Ancient of Days,
Pavilion’d in splendour,
And girded with praise.
O tell of His might, O sing of His grace,
Whose robe is the light,
Whose canopy space,
His chariots of wrath,
The deep thunderclouds form,
And dark is His path,
On the wings of the storm.
Thy bountiful care, What tongue can recite?
It breathes in the air, It shines in the light;
It streams from the hills,
It descends to the plain,
And sweetly distils in the dew and the rain.
Frail children of dust, And feeble as frail,
In Thee do we trust, Nor find Thee to fail;
Thy mercies how tender,
How firm to the end,
Our Maker, Defender, Redeemer, and
Friend!
O measureless might! Ineffable love!
While angels delight, To hymn Thee above,
The humbler creation,
Though feeble their lays,
With true adoration Shall lisp to Thy praise.
HYMN 2
I AM THINE OH LORD
I am Thine oh Lord
I have heard Thy voice
And it told Thy love to me
But I long to rise in the arms of faith
And be closer drawn to Thee.
CHORUS
Draw me nearer, nearer, blessed Lord
To the cross where Thou hast died
Draw me nearer, nearer, blessed Lord
To Thy precious, bleeding side.
Consecrate me now to Thy service, Lord
By the Pow’r of grace divine
Let my soul look up with a steadfast hope
And my will be lost in Thine.
Oh, the pure delight of a single hour
That before Thy throne I spend
When I kneel in Prayer,
and with Thee, my God
I commune as friend with friend
There are depths of love that I cannot know
Till I cross the narrow sea
There are heights of joy
that I may not reach
Till I rest in peace with Thee.
HYMNS FOR THE MONTH OF FEBRUARY

HYMN 3
THOU MY EVERLASTING
PORTION
Thou my everlasting portion,
More than friend or life to me,
All along my pilgrim journey,
Saviour, let me walk with Thee.
Close to thee, close to Thee,
Close to thee, close to Thee,
All along my pilgrim journey,
Saviour, let me walk with Thee.
Not for ease or worldly pleasure
Nor for fame my prayer shall be
Gladly will I toil and suffer
Only let me walk with Thee.
Close to thee, close to Thee,
Close to thee, close to Thee,
All along my pilgrim journey,
Saviour, let me walk with Thee.
Lead me through the vale of shadows
bear me o'er life's fitful sea;
Then the gate of life eternal
May I enter, Lord, with Thee.
Close to thee, close to Thee,
Close to thee, close to Thee,
All along my pilgrim journey,
Saviour, let me walk with Thee.
HYMN 4
NEARER MY GOD TO THEE
Nearer, my God to Thee,
Nearer to Thee;
E’en though it be a cross,
That raiseth me,
Still all my song shall be,
Nearer, my God, to Thee, (2ce)
Nearer to Thee!
Though, like the wanderer,
The sun gone down,
Darkness be over me,
My rest a stone,
Yet in my dreams I’d be
Nearer my God to Thee, (2ce)
Nearer to Thee!
There let the way appear
Steps unto heaven;
All that Thou send’st to me
In mercy given;
Angels to beckon me
Nearer, my God, to Thee, (2ce)
Nearer to Thee!
Then with my waking thoughts,
Bright with Thy praise,
Out of my stony griefs
Bethel I’ll raise;
So by my woes to be
Nearer, my God, to Thee, (2ce)
Nearer to Thee!
Or if on joyful wing,
Cleaving the sky,
Sun, moon, and stars forgot,
Upwards I fly,
Still all my song shall be,
Nearer, my God, to Thee, (2ce)
Nearer to Thee!
