1. The future university will be a more diverse university, regarding learners and learning pathways. We need even more courageous higher education strategies for this. HEI’s need to strategically develop innovative formats and open up learning opportunities.

2. Digital technologies provide great opportunities for better (international) student guidance and support. Whilst ensuring ethical standards and data security, we need to make better use of digital technologies for (social) innovation. Still, the student should always be in charge.

3. Cooperation is key! Higher education of the future will be successful for those who find the right partners, beyond institutional, regional and national borders.
