Presidents Report What a wonderful meeting on Thursday, David Goldstone pre-sented us with some interesting ideas about Rotary, I was im-pressed by his commitment, drive and dedication and the men-toring he has provided through his contacts and resources, for young people. We were privileged to induct Mary Cunnington, I look forward to her participation in the Club (see photo next page).

Our ever efficient Secretary Roy has already updated the membership list we now have 48 members. We are lucky that we have a club of real contributors, every one of the 48 con-tributes in many ways. As a measure of the effort he will put in for the coming years we had a visit from Malcolm Chiverton, District Governor Nomi-nee; for him it’s a commitment that lasts for years. See photo of Malcom comparing ideas with our Guest Speaker on next page. This week many events we have been involved in have contin-ued. Malcolm has been following up about the Concourse, and Ken Mirams and Peter Flude have managed to get spon-sorship for shelving in our storage unit from Wilson Storage. On a mundane note: there is still a 2XL Polar fleece

Early to Rise Photograph by Hardik Desai, Na-tional Geographic Your Shot “The place has its unique appeal,” Hardik Desai writes of Iceland’s Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon. “Dawn happens two hours before sunrise, and the sunrise colors usually last almost 90 minutes if there are no clouds.” A day after scouting out the location, Desai drove 30 minutes to arrive at the lagoon in time to cap-ture the sunrise, hoping for exactly this result.
