How I ended taking up BS Mathematics at UPLB Registration Evaluator’s ‘fault’
Below are QUOTA Courses Civil Engineering Computer Science
Above average UPCAT Exam Results in Mathematics
Above average Grade in High School Mathematics
Reality Bites 20 of 30 blockmates shifted to other
courses after 1st Semester BS AMAT BS Statistics Etc…
Attempted shift was a failure
some things i wish my curriculum had taught me
Thoughts… IMSP Library have enormous number of
copies of mathematics books journals in mathematics
IMSP establish a reputation of ‘no-terror’ instructors
IMSP had a great number of PhDs in Mathematics
Thoughts… 2 See student advising as a religion
Vision/Mission/Objectives Merit to promotion percentage of advisee
graduates Deeper discussion on
Mathematics electives+
Career orientation+
Thoughts… 3 IMSP instructors have part-time
(consultancy) employment to corporate institutions where mathematical skills are needed
ISEP - intentional student ejection program
In short… I don’t know how to answer the question
But what I’ve experienced after graduation was... have to educate myself on the industry I work
for brag about having finished BS Mathematics, any
work requirements can be learnt
