IMSI – Details & Filter for analysis
The details below are related to the voice drop. Create a filter for accordinglyfor your analysis:
• When – 02/04/2013 @ around 11.00 AM
• Use Time Period filter for April 2nd, from midnight to midnight. Please beware that in thefilter you have to use month/day/year, e.g. April 2nd is 04/02/2013.
•What – CS Drop
• Where – Since we are filtering by IMSI, there is no need to filter by region, as IMSI
normally would act on a very closed area.• However, a good practice is to choose the Geographic Area filter option“Use Bounding
Box”.
• Who – IMSI 724053908407878
• Use Subscr iber filter for above IMSI

We can use this analysis to compare the behaviour / KPIs of different IMSIs (or show the KPIs of just one), in a
period of time.
TASK – Please run th e analysis, and once you have the output table, identi fy the main KPIs for thissubsc riber. Is his Drop Rate too high? What about number of drops, during the fi l tered period, is it a high
number of drops?
This is a good analysis also to study the performance of (a) specific subscriber(s), for greater periods of time. For
example, how w as the general performance of this subscrib er during last month?
You may also know which are the offender cells by running the analysis on next page…

Inside the points folder, we can find the drop locations analysis. With this we can plot all locations for a specific IMSI for
the drops. Once we located the drops in the map, using the spider tool we can drilldown each call
TASK – You may use this analysis as well to find out if th ere are other subscr ibers experiencing dro ps in th earea (same map bou ndings o f ~1 km around the drop and apply a new fi l ter with it , removing the subs criber
and extending the Time Period for 20 days, for example). Is this an area with lot’s of drops? Or is this a single
event? What to do in each case?
