prac/cal  aspects  such  as  u"lity,  ease  of  use  and  efficiency  of  the  system.  User  experience  is  subjec"ve  in  nature,  because  it  is  about  

an  individual’s  feelings  and  thoughts  about  the  system.”

•  Media  preferences  •  He  reads  a  few  newssites.  •  He  likes  his  workrelated  informaGon  on  paper.  •  Any  search  funcGon  should  be  fast  and  easy  to  use.  •  When  reading  informaGon  on  products  he  should  be  

able  to  idenGfy  the  needed  informaGon  quickly.  •  He  reads  around  the  markeGng  talk.  He  is  interested  

to  read  the  technical  part.  •  He  is  not  doing  much  with  social  media.  

•  Rela9onship  with  [company]  •  Eric  knows  his  way  around  with  [company].  He  is  

familiar  with  the  amount  of  support  [company]  offers  and  the  design  benefit  [company]  [X]  products  can  offer.  

•  He  is  not  aware  that  [company]  has  so  much  [X]  acGvity  in  Nijmegen.  

•  According  to  Eric,  [company]  doesn’t  innovate  their  product  oRen  enough.

wants  to,  gives  him  saGsfacGon.  •  He  is  always  very  interested  in  new  products.  Even  

the  slightest  adjustment  to  an  exisGng  product  is  interesGng  to  him.  

•  From  an  [company]  he  wants  specific  know-­‐how  and  a  high  preference  to  test  new  products.    

•  When  his  expectaGons  of  a  product  are  high  he  doesn’t  want  to  wait.

Eric   is   38   years   old   and   a   married   father   of   two.   He   lives   in  Finland,  where  he  works  at  Nokia  as  an  engineer.  He  gets  a  true  kick   out   of   designing   the   perfect   product.   Together   with   the  architect  he  decides  on  which  product  to  buy.
