IMPROVEMENT PLAN FOR THE BILINGUAL SECTION

The project was requested in association with two other European institutions in order to

improve their bilingual sections:

> IES Albarregas (Spain)

> Gymnasium Lilienthal (Germany)

> Lycée Choiseul (France)

The first stage consisted of a training course for seven teachers of non-linguistic areas in the IES

Albarregas bilingual section.

Once the academic year has started we will carry out the most important task: students from the three

institutions will benefit from the exchange of educational experiences and will be prepared to face

a common future in a Europe without language barriers.

Currently the three institutions are working together through eTwinning, an extremely useful tool in this process, as it allows us to share teaching materials by using CLIL methodology.

Page 7: Improvement Project

IMPROVEMENT PLAN FOR THE BILINGUAL SECTION

1.A study of the functioning of the three bilingual sections, looking for similarities and differences ,analyzing the results in order to improve them.

2.There will be short stays in the three institutions (job shadowing), in wich visiting teachers will act as external evaluators of the section of the host country.

3.At the end of the three visits, teachers will prepare a project document which, after comparison of the three sections, will help us to design an optimal model for a bilingual section, an improvement plan to be implemented in the three institutions during the academic year 2015-2016.

6.In this last period visiting teachers will work directly in the host classrooms, using the new CLIL material.

IMPROVEMENT PLAN FOR THE BILINGUAL SECTION

Today our project has ceased to be a program and has become a reality.

In order to achive our goals, our German and French partners should let us study their classrooms and management documents for their bilingual programs, and of course, the work and enthusiasm of all those involved.

We hope to grow with this adventure,to learn how to work with other institutions and to walk alongside the Gymnasium Lilienthal and Lycée Choiseul looking for quality and equality in a united Europe through our classrooms.

From quality to equality
