PATH2COLLEGE 529 PLAN ENHANCEMENTS: A BRIEF OVERVIEWHere are the main changes you will see with your
Path2College 529 Plan.
Enhanced Investment Menu
x If you currently have the Age-Based (Managed Allocation
or Aggressive Managed Allocation) Investment Option, your
account will automatically convert to a Managed Enrollment
Year Investment Portfolio or Aggressive Managed Enrollment
Year Investment Portfolio. See next page for details and the
added flexibility the Managed Investment Portfolios offer.
x Path2College is introducing two (2) new investment
portfolios to create a suite of static asset allocation portfolios:
Conservative Allocation Portfolio and High Equity Allocation
Portfolio. Together with the Balanced Allocation Portfolio
(formerly named the Balanced Option), these static
investment portfolios offer additional choices for those
who prefer a fixed asset allocation, rather than one that
automatically changes as your child approaches an
enrollment year.
x Path2College will merge the Money Market Option into
the Guaranteed Portfolio, to offer a single “cash equivalent”
option. If you are currently invested in the Money Market
Option, you will be automatically transitioned to the
Guaranteed Portfolio. (visit path2college529.com for
the current effective annual interest rate)
Improved Online Account Management System
x An improved online account management interface.
The new interface will maintain the current security
features to keep your personal information safe.
x A new process for payroll direct deposit. You will no longer
be required to mail in a paper payroll form to Path2College.
For those currently making payroll contributions, a letter
was mailed to you with instructions for the transition.
Please refer to page 2.

online. The following items are required to complete the re-registration process:

The Path2College 529 Plan is committed to
innovation, and more importantly, positioning
your college savings investments for optimal
performance throughout the lifetime of your
account. The Age-Based (Managed Allocation
or Aggressive Managed Allocation) Options have
been popular investment choices for families.
Based on your beneficiary’s age, they automatically
adjust the investment mix of equities, fixed income,
and a cash equivalent over time to become more
conservative as your beneficiary nears the age of 18.
The new Managed Investment Portfolios (Managed
Enrollment Year and Aggressive Managed
Enrollment Year Investment Portfolios) build on
this methodology by offering more flexibility
to meet varying investment objectives, risk
profiles and investment time horizons. Instead
of automatically adjusting the investment mix
based on your beneficiary’s age, the portfolios
automatically adjust based on the expected year
your beneficiary will enroll in school. Plus, you
have the flexibility to choose among any of the
Managed Investment Portfolios whether your
selection is based on the expected year of
enrollment in school for your beneficiary or a
different enrollment year that more closely aligns
with your investment objectives and risk tolerance.
With the new Managed Investment Portfolios,
you will continue to experience the ease of use
– you receive a professionally managed, diverse
investment portfolio that does not require you to
make any manual changes throughout the life of
the investment. And compared to the current
Age-Based Investment Options, the Managed
Investment Portfolios adjust the investment mix
more frequently, resulting in a more gradual shift
in a portfolio’s investment mix.

AUTOMATIC CONVERSION TO THE NEW MANAGED INVESTMENT (ENROLLMENT YEAR) PORTFOLIOSDuring the transition, the Path2College 529 Plan will automatically convert your Age-Based (Managed
Allocation or Aggressive Managed Allocation) Investment Option to a Managed Enrollment Year Investment
Portfolio or Aggressive Managed Enrollment Year Investment Portfolio based on the beneficiary’s age on
May 8, 2020. For example, if your beneficiary is 7 years old on May 8, your Managed Allocation (5-8 Years)
Option will automatically convert to the 2030/2031 Managed Enrollment Year Investment Portfolio.
The investment portfolio will automatically adjust to become more conservative as your beneficiary’s
enrollment year approaches. As with all 529 Plans, you may change your investments in your Path2College
account up to twice per calendar year, or upon a change in beneficiary. If you have not made two transfers
among your investment portfolios in 2020, you may do so any time before December 31, 2020. If you have
already made two transfers among your investment portfolios, you will need to wait until January 1, 2021
to do so.
