The Science Agenda for Agriculture in Africa (S3A) • CGIAR brings substantial data and

research results to inform the implementation of science and development programs in Africa

• Under the AUC-CGIAR partnership can make this wealth of knowledge systematically available to the wide range of partners in Africa – nationally, sub-regionally and Pan African

• Opportunity to jointly align S3A and CGIAR R4D

S3A – where does CGIAR bring value ? • Engaging in joint research programs

and achieving impact through CRPs and technology platforms

• Explore emerging issues (e.g. climate-smart agriculture)

• Measuring impact of AR4D at country and regional levels (metrics for monitoring the implementation of S3A)
