Introduction This document describes the Corrected Software Issues for this software product release. The software corrections are documented in the following format:

Customer Issue ID: An alphanumeric ID used in Dialogic CIR tracking system.

Defect ID: An alphanumeric ID used in Dialogic Defect tracking system.

Description: A description of the issue which was resolved.

The following abbreviations may be used within this document:

BDN or BDN 2020 = Dialogic® BorderNet™ 2020 Session Border Controller

BDN EMS = Dialogic® Element Management System for the BDN 2020

IMG 1010 = Dialogic® IMG 1010 Integrated Media Gateway

IMG 2020 = Dialogic® IMG 2020 Integrated Media Gateway

Note that as of the date of publication of this document, the “Dialogic® BorderNet™ 2020 Session Border

Controller” (BDN 2020) product is now being sold by Dialogic under the “Dialogic® IMG 2020 Integrated Media

Gateway” (IMG 2020) name.

A direct system migration path exists for an IMG 2020 from release 2.2 to this release 2.3. The same

configuration files can be used. Refer to the “Software Upgrade/Rollback” section in the IMG 2020 Release 2.3

WebHelp page for a complete procedure on how to perform the upgrade.

Please also note that when upgrading your IMG 2020 from release 2.2 to this release 2.3, new licenses are

required. Contact your sales representative to upgrade your actual 2.2 licenses, at no charge, for units with

current service contracts.

Feature Limitations

This section identifies limitations with features that are wholly or in part not included in this release of the associated product(s):

None.

Page 4: IMG 2020 2.3.0 SP1

Release Notes Page 4 of 13 Dialogic Proprietary

Known Issues This section identifies known issues that are wholly or in part not included in this release of the associated product(s):

It is necessary to remove all 2.2.0 licenses from your boot folder before loading a newly acquired 2.3.0 license. Retaining the older license version will prevent the IMG 2020 from loading the 2.3.0 license properly since the 2.2.0 license would still be loaded. Renaming the 2.2 license file is not sufficient. It must be removed completely from the FTP boot folder or the SD card.

New Features

This section identifies new features that are included in this release of the associated product(s). Please check the documentation for what each feature does and how to enable and configure it.

Feature Title

Note that this feature is under “Controlled Introduction” program and users must

communicate with the Dialogic Technical Support team before usage.

FR-19706 A new feature that will send the fault files to the local SD card when IMG 2020 is

booted from SD card.

FR-19653 Additional SIP-ISUP interworking as per 29.163 specification.

This release introduces the first phase of this interoperability project by implementing

the SIP precondition and p-early_media interworking described in section 7.2.3 of the

specification document.

Title/Description

IMG-312 Internal

Title: H.323 Brazil Homologation failure for test cases BCC-TE-S-U07-

06 and BCC-TE-S-U10-06 of the conformance test plan.

Title: SS7 Signaling Network Congestion alarm not decoded.

Description: The IMG 2020 sents alarm 0x0000010e to a SNMP client as an unknown alarm instead of decoding it as SS7 Signaling Network

Congestion Alarm.

IMG-309 IPY00118278 (C166836)

Title: EMS DB_Sync logs are not being generated after a rollover.

Description: It was possible to have two threads competing at the same time to generate the midnight files rotation. This could have led to unexpected results where a log file would not have been properly created after it was copied/deleted over to the backup directory.

IMG-299 IPY00118245 (C166329)

Title: IMG 2020 Sigtran link Network Appearance does not allow the max 32-bit unsigned integer defined for this parameter.

IMG-346 Internal

Title: Issue with P-Asserted-Identity header handling. The Display name is not propagated to the outgoing leg.

Description: The issue occurred when 2 P-Asserted-Identity lines were

provided and only one of them had the Display name provided. The IMG 2020 wasn’t providing the Display name for both PAID.

IMG-339 IPY00118330

(C167353)

Title: Invalid NodeID reported after loading a configuration.

Description: The problem happened when the Config_History table contained configuration commands that would significantly change the Node system information, like a control Port IP address change. When applying this command after a node restart, the EMS would lose communication with the node and couldn’t assign a valid NodeID. To avoid this situation, the Node’s local configuration must be in sync with

the EMS one. A Push configuration & Reset will fix the situation. Other configuration management features added with this release will also help to avoid the problem.

IMG-318 IPY00118295 (C166840)

Title: IMG 2020 M3UA route not coming into service due to the

“Presume_Available” parameter.

Description: The IMG 2020 WebUI for M3UA routes configuration allows for the Presume_Available parameter to be editable. This parameter cannot be changed once the route is created. The WebUI must prevent this parameter from being edited once the route is

created.

IMG-307 Internal

Title: Wrong format presented within the IMG 2020 Events.txt file.

Description: The Events.txt file uses a delimiter that clashed with the alarm’s definition, which also uses the same delimiter. It results in a wrong file presentation format. The Events.txt file now uses the semi-colon delimiter instead.

IMG-287 IPY00118228 (C166087)

Title: IMG 2020 Faults with fault: #c01db007 @01a85320[29230].

Description: The IMG 2020 node can fall into an infinite fault loop when the config_Event table has been increased drastically and the

system takes too much time to load it at startup. The system boot sequence timeouts and invokes another restart. Different fixes have

been integrated to avoid this table to grow indefinitely.

IMG-337 IPY00118326 (C167313)

Title: M3UA Route ID Table got corrupted.

Description: The situation occurs when creating and deleting the route several times. Sometimes, the route deletion procedure could not be completed.
