IMAGINE PADDLE SURFIMAGINE…what does this word mean in our paddle board-ing company. Well when we started Imagine Surf in 2006, we were a handful of paddlers and surfers that imagined living a life-style of fun and adventure. We imagined dawn patrol surfs and sun-set bonfires. We imagined epic river trips with friends and fun coastal runs with family. We imagined exciting fishing missions and crossing the finishing line excited. We imagined weekends of escape from the grind and weeks filled with daily escape. So we used our imagination and dreamed big! The dream came true and Imagine has now grown up to be one of the most fun, authentic, and exciting paddleboard brands on the market. We are constantly inspired by this amazing sport and humbled at how it changes lives.

We choose to surround ourselves with the best in the business and this is reflected in each board we build. We are proud to be partnered with the heritage and quality of the NEILPRYDE brand and the authenticity and expertise of iconic waterman and designer Dave Kalama.

For 2015 we have once again built a balanced line of versatile, affordable, durable and great perfor-mance boards. The journey so far has been an adventure but trust us… if you use your Imagination it has only just begun.

We have a saying around the water cooler at Imagine. How can you trust your equipment if your designer doesn’t know how to use the products they design? Fortunately for us, our head designer also happens to be the guy who helped start it all. Dave Kalama certainly needs no introduction, but for those who may not be aware, he reintroduced stand up paddleboard-ing to the masses in the mid 90’s with good friend Laird. Dave is a Hawaiian waterman who comes from a lineage of surfing and paddling champions. He has been at the start of it all- professional windsurfing, pioneering big wave tow surfing, and stand up paddleboarding. Designing his own equipment in each of these disciplines has given Dave a wealth of experience that is built into each product Imagine makes.

If you are ever fortunate enough to attend one of Dave’s Kalama Kamps, you will have the chance to rub shoulders with one of our sports true legends, and witness the level of exper-tise, information and passion he brings to the world of standup paddleboarding and Imagine Surf.

The DLX double skin construction provides a very rigid and durable board. The DLX outfitting offers pre-mium features and accessories.

INFLATABLE TECHNOLOGY

For 2015 we use a technology called drop stitch where hundreds of thou-sands of threads connect the deck to the bottom of the board. For the DLX and LTE we use an additional layer of material on the deck and bottom, For the XLT we use a tough single layer and reinforcing on the rails. This allows the boards to be pumped up to 15 psi making them extremely stiff for an inflatable product.

PERFORMANCE MANUFACTURING

Imagine is making our inflatable boards in our own factory. This is the same factory that has been making yachting sails, Windsurf sails, Kiteboarding Kites, wetsuits, bags etc for the last 25 years. We know what quality is and we have invested heavily in the inflatable technology and take great pryde in the fact that we oversee each step of the manufacturing process.

They are hollow boards constructed similar to a plastic kayak, and tend to be heavier than epoxy or inflatable boards. There is a reason that plastic is the number one material for all kayaks on the water. Our plastic boards are made using a complex blow molding process that allows us to use 20% post consumer recycled content and form a 100% recyclable product. We like this, and so does the ocean.
