The lake, calm and serene,Dappled with the rays of the sun

The water to your anklesClasping you Within its cold hands.

Hearing nothing Except the rippling waterEverything else silent.

Standing alone, proudAt the beginning of a brand New Day.

Listen to the last lion roar .And the last hyena laugh.Hear the final drop of water splash. And the final tree rustle its leaves.

See the sun shelter itself behind the highest mountain. Experience the sight of the sky become slowly splattered with colors: Blue, orange, red. All is still. Feel the rough grass and

shrubs beneath your feet. And all the little creatures who live in it.

Peaceful.

Calm.

Hushed.

But deep in the savanna nothing is as it seems. For the biggest predator has just awakened, and all that felt once safe, shall be.

O Coliseum, you smell of history

Standing there for 2,000 years

And yet still so stunning

Daylight shines on you

In darkness, you enlighten

I can still hear the gladiators

I can still taste the blood…

If I touch your stones, I can see all that again

Image Poem

You are red, orange, and hot.Burn, burn, please burn me not.You are life, you are death, and never tire. You are in the woods, or in chimneys, you are fire.

You are red, orange, and

hot.Burn, burn, please burn me not.

You are life, you are

death, and never

tire. You are in the woods, or in chimneys,

You are fire

Feeling pain everyday

In his empty belly

Weeping and screaming as he Searches the ground for crumbs

Soon enough though

His body can’t take it

He Tumbles to the ground Breathing his last breath

Hear that soothing sound of the shiny ball hitting the ground

The sunset begins to rise above,

shining so bright I can taste the beauty tonight

Going into internal sleep

This scene has it all

The sky is pure gold

like a million dollar

painting about to be

sold

The sun starts to fall

The waves are calm

Feel the cool water in your

palm

As I leap into the air, ready to dunk. All that is on my mind is me and the basket. All I see is the basket and the flashing lights from cameras. As I start to fall, the ball gets set free from my hands. Swoosh! The ball goes in for another 2 points. As I come crashing to the ground,I can hear the crowd go wild.My heart beats faster than ever As the buzzer goes off.

WinterA windy night, storms coming and going, the stars barely visible

And as I walk my footprints imprint the ground of an expanse of white frostingSoftly and silently snowflakes tumble down

Then stop for a moment and open your eyesUp-close you see beautiful and fragile figures with intricate designs, none are exact

They fall like graceful dancing fairiesThe wind blows on

And till dawn comes, it continues on

Built with pure beauty he stands alone,Made of strong muscle and bone,He is big and mighty but has not sinned ,For he runs as fast as the wind,And his mane flows from side to side,With his head raised with pride,He will run the plains to the very last day,He will soon die, but his soul will stay.

It is yet another glorious spring day

With trees and flowers blooming away

The rays of light seem to dance on the clear water

There’s magic in the air

The mountains seem to glare from there

The sky was gold as the sun grew old

It was yet another glorious spring day

That prompted everyone to say

WOW! It’s another dazzling day.

The snow crushed under his paws,Tired, and hungry. Climbing and struggling to find a good spot. The sound of his claws stumping on the snow, The chill from the breezeThe white mountains behind him, And the gray sky. As tired as he is,He continues his journey, A struggle for survival.

The sun is shining brightly on my faceAs I walk from place to place,

I am a girl who is afraid I am a girl who was so close to death

I thought I had one last breathI am a girl

Is what I say when I get a fright

Hoping the boogey man doesn’t turn out the light

Seeing the boogey man is the most horrible sight

I keep my teddy and covers snuggled in tight

This sandwich is not just a sandwich,Just take one bite of delight and see how it is rich.

Hear the crunch, from its toasted crust,Then you’ll slowly start to lust.        your teeth, into its mouthwatering meat,SinkTake just one bite, and your lips will touch its wheat.                       e                     s                   iSmell the r             of the delectable odorSo powerful it takes over.                         p    a     hGaze into the s    l     s     of color,That must be why it costs more than a dollar.

As I’m walking down this narrow roadI wonder…If this is the right place to beAs I try to peak through the stiff fogI think…Should I want you here with me?As I try to find out if this road will ever endI wonder…What’s behind those huge rough trees?

As the cold wind blows the leaves onto my faceI think…Did I go the wrong way?As my body starts to shiver and my fingers turn numbI wonder…If I will make it out of this cold road aliveAs the tree branches start to shakeI think…Will they ever fall off?

The lion’s eyes, as he looks at you, in the light, a bright, bright hue.

As the lion runs so fast, he hunts down his prey in a blast.

When you hear the great lion roar, you know that he is alive once more.

The majestic skies,All of the light,So orange and so bright

Far away from life,Clouds reflecting the sun’s rays,You can’t help but praise,You praise the earth,Its beauty

One day the sun is bright orange,Next day, the clouds disappear

You can’t help but wonder,You wonder what the world will be,If we keep on destroying it

Destroying natural art
